I would say instead that's when they stopped some of the overly complicated stuff and just realised we have a team of literal giants so what's so bad about a proper corner with pace right into the mixer.

I remember Simon Jordan (whatever you think of him take it with a pinch of salt) referenced Bruce once on TalkSport a few weeks ago, he said when the team was playing badly he liked to hear the manager supporting the players and trying to make them feel better and try to make them believe in themselves and cited Steve Bruce among a couple of others as the sorts of managers who would do that. Nice little insight, because there has to be something there to him, he isn't a complete fraud. Tonali's long-shots are absolutely top-class. Daisy-cutters the lot of them. Just doesn't get the space to take those shots very often.

Important for Miley's development at his age to be playing regular football. If not here, somewhere else. So as he's here, he has to be playing and starting a good chunk of games for us imo. It's a nice problem to have 4 genuinely viable starting centre mids now - Tonali, Bruno, Miley and Ramsey. We have the quantity of games now to hopefully keep them all happy. Reluctantly thinking Joelinton is not we need any more. If he's happy taking a step back he's a fantastic option off the bench to lock down games.
