  1. Just can't see it, not many teams would want Viduka ahead of McCarthy so wouldnt make any sense for Blackburn. McCarthy is also worth a couple of million more than Fatuka.
  2. Amusing that the scum lost in such a dubious way, I'd be well pissed if we lost a goal against like that. Personally I think it was over, i freeze framed the clip on here, and would say it was over. How the hell a linesman can give it though...
  3. I had a bet with a few mates a year ago that Keane wouldn't see Xmas 07 out as scum manager, im disapointed and suprised he's proved me wrong. As a manager he has won a shit league with a relegated team (who should be near the top) then wasted £30-odd million quid on shite in the summer and ended up with one of the worst five teams in the prem. Most people reckon they'll do enough to stay up, and still its 50/50. Fuckin hope they go down, cunts. Relegation is now about 5 teams (Wigan, Scum, Brum, Fulham, Boro) battled for 3 safety spots. I'm pretty sure Derby are down, and Bolton and spuds will be safe. All depends on the scum pickin up home points - they have Bolton, Boro, Brum and Wigan all at home and need max points IMO.
  4. I find that with all the SKY, Setanta and BBC commentators. Their voice goes up an octave with excitement when one of the 'big four' are attacking. They love it when the 'big four' win. The silence from Andy Gray and Martin Tyler (it was at least one of them commentating) when Taylor scored for NUFC against Arsenal was embarrassing. They screamed at the top of their voices when Arsenal scored. There is always a disappointed tone in their voices when Newcastle score, win a corner, free kick, etc. There are always a million replays when we foul someone but none when we are fouled. I find they always want whoever Newcastle are playing to win. The only reason the BBC will have picked the Stoke V Newcastle game is they are hoping there is a cup shock. On Sunday they'll say some bollocks like "Derby need the points" like Newcastle don't! It's not paranoia if it's true. Well said.
  5. If Sheva keeps scoring, and with Pizarro on the bench, they might leave it as it is.
  6. one of the poorest ones ive seen on here. Sorry. forgiven.
  7. Other games: I believe Getafe won, so spuds finish 2nd in their Uefa Cup group. Does this mean they'll play a champs league drop out?
  8. one of the poorest ones ive seen on here.
  9. Hope to fuck its not another 'big 4' final.... OT: Was thinking about the last time a non-big 4 won a domestic trophy: FA CUP: 2006 Liverpool 3-1 penalties 3-3 after extra time West Ham United 2005 Arsenal 5-4 penalties 0-0 after extra time Manchester United 2004 Manchester United 3-0 Millwall 2003 Arsenal 1-0 Southampton 2002 Arsenal 2-0 Chelsea 2001 Liverpool 2-1 Arsenal 2000 Chelsea 1-0 Aston Villa 1999 Manchester United 2-0 Newcastle 1998 Arsenal 2-0 Newcastle 1997 Chelsea 2-0 Middlesbrough 1996 Manchester United 1-0 Liverpool 1995 Everton 1-0 Manchester United 1994 Manchester United 4-0 Chelsea 1993 Arsenal 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday 1992 Liverpool 2-0 Sunderland 1991 Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Nottingham Forest 1990 Manchester United 4-3 Crystal Palace 1989 Liverpool 3-2 Everton LEAGUE CUP: 2007 Chelsea 2–1 Arsenal 2006 Manchester United 4–0 Wigan 2005 Chelsea 3–2* Liverpool 2004 Middlesbrough 2–1 Bolton Wanderers 2003 Liverpool 2–0 Manchester United 2002 Blackburn Rovers 2–1 Tottenham Hotspur 2001 Liverpool 1–1* Birmingham Liverpool won 5–4 on penalties
  10. Pompey have been shite at home
  11. So...Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton and Spuds in the semi's. Are they played over 2 legs? I have a feeling Everton could win this...
  12. Can't see it, playing every match for Man U still. Maybes at the end of the season, although i can see Giggs being there for most of next season too, while Nani comes through.
  13. Sportinglife.com Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce will look to add proven quality to his squad during the January transfer widow as the demands of the African Nations Cup hit hard. The Magpies will lose four players - leading scorer Obafemi Martins, skipper Geremi and defenders Habib Beye and Abdoulaye Faye - for up to six weeks after Manchester City's visit to St James' Park on January 2. Allardyce always knew that was likely to be the case when he signed Geremi, Beye and Faye during the summer, and although their absence could be offset in part by the impending returns of the likes of Michael Owen, Damien Duff and Stephen Carr from injury, he hopes to be able to strengthen next month. He said: "We need two or three players and we are on the ball over that. "But we do need quality players, and I just hope we can find them."
  14. and will it be the last? (only joking, don't take my head off)
  15. IF his squad could win the Premiership in that way, he wouldnt be far off. But, they can't and won't.
  16. If we signed Diouf we'd have some wicked goalscorers in our line-up: Martins 138 games / 45 goals Smith 249 / 45 Ameobi 166 / 28 Diouf 151 /21 goals
  17. You know he scored against us the other day...first league goal for over a year. And he's not been injured. 32 games between goals. Smithtastic. I think its pretty easy to doubt his ability. ...ya, I hate him too. Agree with you, would love Anelka, don't see all the hype about Diouf, but then again many on here think Smith can do no wrong.
  18. So when does Enrique ever get his chance in the PL then? If and when Zoggy is injured and theres no option? I agree with what you mean, but we are talking about one change and a supposedly quality player coming in. Not making 3 or 4 changes by bringing in less adequate players in.
  19. Agree. You would really have to start to wonder if Allardyce has not got enough faith in his £6.3 million signing Jose Enrique to play him in this match. Exactly, there won't be a better match this season for Enrique to play in to be 'slowly' moved into English football etc.etc.
  20. Would you give a shit if we were winning? Well, he hasn't scored goals, and we havent been winning as well as we'd like. We have a really tough 2nd half of the season, and will need both strikers (and contributions from MF) if we are to pick up enough wins to finish in the top 8.
  21. Can we keep 2 clean sheets on the trot? Best chance we'll have this season! I reckon 2-0. SJP and Newcastle is the kind of game a club like Derby treats as a Cup Final, like they did at OT a couple of weeks back. They may well put 10 men behind the ball, which is again why I'd really like to see Zoggy moved into MF. Edit: Just read .com - Derby have ONE goal away from home in 9 matches this season, and ONE point (0-0 draw at Fulham). All the more reason to give Enrique a run out and put Zoggy in midfield and have a go at them. Nothing less than a win is expected.
  22. Barnsley and Wigan about 4 months ago And the last time we kept two consecutive clean sheets in the Premiership? Guess this weekend is as good a chance as we'll get.
  23. All summer he said he wasn't moving, and is saying it again now. Just total paper bullshit to keep linking him with the obvious 3 sides without any actual evidence.
  24. I always been a pesimistic about Anelka since his Real days, but this season he has totally impressed me, and realised what a great player he is. I just wonder if part of it is to engineer a move away. Bolton would/will seriously miss him. As for us missing the boat, totally agree. I was in the camp that didnt really want Anelka, now I'd love him here, better than any of our strikers. BUT, would he still want to leave us for Chelsea anyway? Grant has repeatedly said he's happy to go with Shev and Pizarro during the ACN, which arent bad options to be fair, then Drogba and Kolou come back for the last 1/4 of the season. If this moves goes ahead i think its gotta be somewhere in the region of £15m. Interesting there hasnt been much denial from Bolton.
