Fair point from Kaka, I've played a lot of football in my time as a left-back and I don't think i have ever tackled like that, you either stay on your feet or slide generally, that tackle is more karate-esque. Overall though it maybe would not be fair to single out Taylor for this as it's been going on a lot and should of been clamped down on before now.

I dunno. It's a terrible tackle, but it did happen very quickly. At first glance, it seemed to me he was trying to play the ball and didn't care whether he followed through or not. The camera angle we saw it from wasn't the best to judge his intent. A guy from Benfica got a 6 match for a similar challenge on Scott Brown in champions league, should be a 6 match ban for all these types of challenges imo.

Carvalho on Agbonlahor, Gunarrsson on that West Ham player (Etherington?), Kuyt in the Everton match, I hope those players are all having a good look at those pictures. I think the tackling with studs up, especially when you are coming in over the top should result in a 6 match ban at least.
