  1. Mourinho had it right, ugly but that's the only way....well as long as Barcelona doesn't go on a diving fest and get your player sent off.
  2. I hate Man United as much as you do. I just hate Barca equally. That's why I'm more accurate than you on calling the decisions ;-) i really dont undertand how anyone can hate barca, you're not really a fan of football if you dont like barcelona. I will forever hate man utd, i know its been over ten years when we lost the title to them, but it still hurts even till today. so up yours man u! you are a very strange individual why because im supporting the team that plays the way the game should be played? lol Absolutely nothing wrong supporting Barcelona for whatever reason. But saying things like "you're not really a fan of football if you dont like barcelona" makes you look silly. indeed it does especially if your supporting man utd lol Wrong again. You could dislike Barcelona and appreciate football regardless of whoever you support

    Going French

That was constructive...how so typical Seriously if you've got no opinion on the subject matter, just don't bother to post I watch a lot of French football. Is the face I would pull if you said that to me in person. Said what? I gave two different position and in fact said that I liked the idea. So you're one of those who think that Frenchies are softies?

    Going French

Yup my mistake, don't know what I was thinking of. Was thinking of him speaking French to be honest. Will edit

    Going French

Why? If it's shit, then it will just drop down the list and die a natural death. Gosh no wonder the forum can be so boring at times

    Going French

Just to get opinion on our direction of seemingly going French. We are no doubt using the good reputation we've earned through our treatment of HBA. For me it's all good. The French are known usually to be sound technically and has always added a bit of flair to our teams. They usually command reasonable fees and wages too which is ideal for a club like us who want to get good players (not necessarily world class) to bring us to the next level and yet have to operate within a wage ceiling. Plus having a few of them together with Tiote and HBA as focal points would hopefully mean that there would be more understanding (especially if they've played together at club level or national team) and help players settle down. I remember one of the observations made in the book "Soccernomics" is that how mightily important it is for a club to help a player settle down if they want to see his best form, having a couple of them with the same nationality, same language and hopefully having known each other should help. On the other hand, I also know some would think that French players are softies and tend to sulk when things don't go right. Would having a core of French players in our attack mean that we fold when things get tough? Would we lose the typical British aggression and run till you die attitude that most clubs need to cut it in the Premiership which by and large is still a league which focuses on physical attributes (strength, aggression and pace)?
  11. "I refuse to believe what I'm seeing!" Err did I say he was s***?? You watched a video of him scoring goals then declared you think you could get someone better, which is confusing. I don't think you could and Newcastle should be bloody delighted if they get someone of Gameiro's level this summer. well its just that some of those goals look like scruffy shots instead of clean strikes of a predatory striker. That is the impression that I get from watching the youtube video, could be wrong of course
  12. "I refuse to believe what I'm seeing!" Err did I say he was shit??
  13. In which case, you'd best lower your expectations rather quickly. What level of player do you think a club finishing 12th should be realistically able to get? I don't know if I'm honest, just hoping that for 10-12M, we would get someone better.
  14. Not sure what is there to lol about, I accept the limitations of youtube videos which is why I declared it upfront. How else would someone who has never seen him play before see him?
  15. Just purely based on the youtube video, does not look too impressive, falls in the ok category for me. I mean still miles better than the pile of horse shit we call as our strikers, but I hope he is not gonna be our main striker and main signing.
  16. Liverpool needs nuking. I fucking hate Liverpool. They either buy our players or just go after the ones we are tracking. Must have the laziest bunch of scouts ever!
  17. Never not until we've spent every penny of that 35M!
  18. so alves, busquets & pedro playacting is what prevented madrid from creating and scoring goals over 180 minutes of football is it? f*** off man there's another way to look at it for me, madrid approached the game in a very attritional manner right? dig in, defend deep and defend hard...it'd be interesting to see what the actual foul count for madrid was that night (or indeed in any of the big CL games vs barca recently) because fouling people is also against the rules you know? stopping a superior team by kicking and blocking them is no better than diving or feigning s*** in my opinion, just different ways of doing the same thing except for some reason you're on your high horse about one not the other Silly man, Alves play acting reduced Madrid to 10 men and turned the game from a tight game of 0-0 to a game which Barcelona hugely exploited and won 2-0. If you can't even understand that point, then never mind
  19. If that is your conclusion, not sure if you watched the whole match. Yes a few Madrid players, Angel di Maria in particular did dive, but the way Barcelona did it (Alves horrific my legs are snapped in two, Busquet and Pedro holding the face when there was no contact anywhere near the face and the way Barcelona players surrounded the ref almost every time there was a foul) was not cheating in the diving category but was cheating designed to get a player sent off and that to me is the worst kind of cheating and cowardice. When in either leg did Madrid actually try to play football and score goals? Exactly. Regardless of the play acting Barcelona players did over the course of the tie, Madrid didn't deserve to go through. Why do you think in basically every high profile game Mourinho is involved in, football takes a back seat? Because he tries to win by mind games, unsportsmanhip behaviour and kicking the opposition off the pitch, which always results in a fracas. Just what he wants. Watch El Clasico's from past seasons compared to this years when Jose suddenly became involved. You'll notice a drastic change. Del Bosque's, Schuster's or Pellegrini's Madrid teams never played in such a pathetic manner like this current one. Which part of my post did I say Madrid deserved to go through? I was just commenting on how Barca were the bigger cheats (by quite a comfortable margin) on the night. On who deserved to go through, that unfortunately is a question that we won't know the answer to thanks to Dani Alves embarrassing play acting

  21. Yup I'm with you, that's not on especially since Arsenal let them train on their ground, things like this makes me hate the twats even more
  22. This is how I feel and this coming from someone who detest Man Utd!
