  1. Yes coz that's what I said Jonny
  2. those quotes are taken from his talk sport interview where he also said there would be one price for him and one fee for anyone else wanting to buy the club, basically saying Ashley would not sell to him. Dont know about anyone else but hope it comes off but doubt it will ,Shepherd made big financial mistakes as we know but him and a proper board would hopefully run it correctly this time around and he would be reeled back in from Owenesque stupidity. I wouldn't want Shepherd anywhere near the club, he damn near led us to financial meltdown last time the fat oaf. According to quite a few on the forum, bank balance doesn't matter coz money does not play football
  3. What a w*****. Can you deny that Joey Barton is a disruptive influence after all the rubbish he' said about England and Newcastle? There's no way "I'm the best midfielder in England" should be selected for England until he grows up, and let his game do the talking instead of his mouth
  4. Hard to be productive when the season hasn't even started yet. Clearly I am referring to his production and actions in the first four years he spent at this club. Your objection to my comment is quite stupid. He was our best player last season I'm not one to deny his worth just because he is now on a free transfer but saying that he was our best player last season is waaay stretching it. Tiote, Colo and even Nolan all played better.

    Alan Pardew

Yet you've gladly sing Hughton's praises? Pardew is an absolute cretin but him and Hughton are both distinctly average mangers. Distinctly average? His acheievements suggested otherwise. I certainly rated him higher than average ability wise where as he was an outstanding decent human being too, the kind you always want associated with your club rather than cretins, f*** ups and absolute mugs like the likes of Pardew et al who infest every f***ing aspect of our once proud club. I cannot wait until the day the likes of Pardew are long gone from any chain of power at NUFC. The man doesn't deserve to be called manager of Newcastle United, a position not so long ago Sir Bobby proudly held. It's easier to sing Hughton's praises because he was top bloke, Pardew isn't. However when it comes down to result they did a very similar job in the top flight. Apart from Liverpool for obvious reasons, Pardew's failure to take three points off any team that wasn't still in danger on the last day should be a very loud alarm bell. Tactics are about getting more than the sum of the parts out of the team and Pardew has proven himself to be miserably bad at it. Results like going to Goodison and the Emirates and coming away with three points will never happen under this man. The less said about his impact on team spirit the better. He has absolutely decimated it. And Hughton's inability to get results at home? What, like going an entire season unbeaten there or battering two top half teams 6-0 and 5-1? Give over man. Take Liverpool away, he won two games at home, Pardew won three but played more games (two of those against teams who get relegated that Hughton never played). There's no improvement there imo. In the championship Let's just ignore the home losses to Blackburn, Stoke and relegated Blackpool Gosh the way people desperately spin things around here to suit their views

    Hatem Ben Arfa

This is really depressing...and we all know 6 weeks is just an estimate. With the way things are on our injury front, would not be surprised if we only see him in full fitness after 10-12 weeks which is gonna be late October/early November! Sometimes our bad luck with injuries is just too much to take

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Boring...wait a minute the evil regime paid the player to injure HBA exactly for 6 weeks so that they can claim that he is like a new signing, now that's believable

    cheers, good to hear

    Hatem Ben Arfa

You heard wrong! Very wrong. were you there? Would be assured if someone who saw him play said that he looked back to normal (barring match fitness of course) Yeah i was there. He looked (like all the players) a little rusty, but he didn't look like a player who hadn't played for months. In terms of speed, he attempted some dribbles that were very quick footed, and his overall pace seemed to be very similar to what it was. Obviously, with it being a friendly, and his first game back, he wasn't as polished as his performances last year, but he certainly looked good. cheers mate, will take your word for it.

  11. back in the Premier League? That doesn't make sense unless he thinks we were somehow relegated??

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Oh great, now people are going to start analyzing his speed and acceleration compared to last season and come out with all sorts of theories including conspiracies why the club agree to buy a crocked player

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Tell me how we managed to get him again? It's crazy!
  14. See Jose Enrique, that's how you do it. And when Carroll did it, some accuse the club of putting a gun to his head. Players putting in a transfer request is a norm these days, people just don't want to believe it when it happens to us
  15. Dave does that a lot these days. He will throw a statement in which for all intent and purposes insinuate something negative, then when challenged, he will just say "oh I wasn't making any point" which begs the question why post something in the first place. He's just man
  16. Is it just me or does that sound like an invitation for other clubs to put in an offer for Tiote?

This time I agree with you. Pardew's talking shit if he is trying to spin this into "we've got so many options already, no need to buy anymore". I know it is still early days, but the lack of activity since Marveaux is worrying. Pardew and Ashley should be crucified if our transfers stop with Marveaux (and no getting Taylor for 1M in does not count). We should be aiming for two more quality players in mid/attack and perhaps one more as cover for defense.
  18. Yup, I'll be fucking livid if we replace Enrique with N. Taylor!
  19. That's right he left because of the weather
  20. Spot the odd one out. Of that lot I obviously don't believe CRonaldo to be a part of that level, but many in here do so I put him in there. Yet he has proven himself to be able to excel in more than one team, something Messi is unable/unwilling to do.
  21. Exactly, there can be talks about Maradona, Garrincha, Cruyff, Messi, Ronaldo, CRonaldo, Zidane, Platini, Beckenbauer, Zico, Romario, Baggio but no one will ever be as big as Pele, he's the step above all of them. I have no doubts Messi has the talent to one day be up there, but so did Ronaldo and Zidane and they never really reached that magical level. People talk about how Messi plays in a modern game where its so much harder because of the level and speed of the game. But people tend to forget that Pele played under an era where he was brutally kicked every 2 minutes. He had no protection, nowadays the referee protects players from being physically murdered back then they didn't. Pele had to leave a World Cup (his only without winning it) because he was so brutally taken care off by defenders and the referees didn't care. I can only imagine how that World Cup would've looked like had he not been injured by the Bulgarian and Portuguese defenders. For you who haven't watched those games, you should look, even Parana (right back during that World Cup) has personally told me and relatives about how it was even worse than what you saw on TV. Maybe Pele would've won 4 World Cups and been even bigger than what he is had he been protected by referees. Messi is without a doubt the best right now, but to start comparing him with the greats is still silly. People say 'why does he have to win with the national team' and so on, well the answer is really easy, he has to prove that he can win outside his comfort zone at Barcelona. Exactly! I don't get why it is so difficult to understand why people want to see Messi perform outside of Barcelona without getting back tiring excuses oh "he plays in a different position", "his team mates are not good enough", "Maradona is a lousy manager" etc It doesn't help Messi's case that he is playing in a Barcelona team many consider the best in the last 10-20 years. A true legend will shine despite difficult circumstances. Messi has done wonders at Barcelona, but every time he leaves his pampered comfort zone, his level drops a few notches....let's see what happens in this Copa. Even C. Ronaldo has proven that he can excel in more than just one team and in different countries with different style of play. Messi is Barcelona's star player (one of) and at the moment that's all he is, would put him fourth in all time ranking just behind Zidane

    Alan Pardew

Whether we are currently stronger than we started last season is very debatable.. How exactly? We have lost Carroll and have replaced him with Ba. I don't think that constitutes progress, do you? We have lost Nolan, our club captain and goal scorer and replaced him with Cabaye, who looks promising but is a bit of an unknown quantity. Let's call it evens. We have lost Campbell (essential cover at centre back) and got Marveaux (cover for wings with first team potential but also massive crock potential). All in all we haven't done too badly, but we've gone backwards in attack and defense, and (hopefully) improved in midfield. We have also not spent any major transfer funds. As I have argued before, I am relatively happy so far, but don't come and tell me you are happy if this is how the window closes..? Since when did Campbell qualify as essential cover? He was f***ing shocking man. The same people who were moaning about Campbell being useless and Nolan panting after 50 minutes are now moaning that we've sold them....how ironic. I want a few more players in especially a top notch striker and right winger, but I'm happy so far
  23. Thing is, you know if Rooney and Tiote's goals had been reversed, Rooney's would still get all the plaudits because of who he is. I still honestly believe Tiote's was the better goal because of the circumstances and everything. Rooney's goal is still good btw I'm not slating it I've never quite understood why an overhead goal is so highly regarded. I mean sure it is difficult to execute but in terms of beauty, I'd take a long ranger belter anytime.

I've adopted a very patient approach to our transfers, but 2 is entirely unacceptable especially since we've not really spend the 35M we got for Carroll and the high likelihood of Jose leaving. Minimum 4 I would say with 2 strikers, one left back and another utility squad player perhaps as cover for Tiote (who will miss quite a few games)
  25. 'Hello... Who is this? No! NO! I'm not talking to you! I'm not talking! NOT LISTENING! NOT LISTENING! NOT LIS-TEN-ING! NA NA NA NA NA' Gold!
