Hasn't every single imminent signing story from the Telegraph so far this summer turned out to be nonsense? Why are we all believing this one?
-
And surely Chelsea dont need another wide forward?!
-
Always seems to hold onto the ball too long. I like the look of that Gloukh kid though, can see why there is so much interest in him

didnt look like a pen

All i can think is that maybe clauses such as extra money fir European qualification, numer of appearances, goals etc aren't counted against until they are activated, but they also cant be used to force a release clause in a contract

Cannot wait until Sewpa Kev and Bally take jobs in the Saudi League
-
How much of that has been not having genuine options to freshen up team though? It is generaly accepted that Tonali is the longstaff upgrade, and i imagine Longstaff will still get plenty of game time
-
True enough, but to be second choice for a team playing a lot of matches in the league and Europe he is going to get a lot of game time - there are very few players who start every game.

That or SANDRO SANDRO urrgh
-
Could he potentially play the same role as Burn?
-
I blame the thread title for all of this.
-
Assuming he is 18 when we sign him then by the time he is 21 I think that would count as being homegrown.
-
Ah yes, what an amazing job, to meet West Ham's asking price and still not have their offer accepted. Bravo!

I really like him as a player and i would have been delighted if we signed him, but i was never quite sure how he would fit into our setup. -

Im pretty sure most of the Spurs players live in Essex/Hertfordshire rather than London anyway. -
Or we just dump Krafth and Manquillo and free up two spaces in the 25 man squad
-
Wages also have an impact on FFP though?
-
It appears the period of reflection was brief then, Luke
-
I think it is only youth infrastructure rather than the purchase of youth players that are exempt from FFP
-
Agreed, but buying one with attitude problems and questionable motivation is

Im always astounded thay song wasn't used for a Simeon Jackson chant

Ive really never heard of needing left footed and right footed centre backs before the last couple of seasons. Is it a new thing? Im sure there must have been dozens of excellent centre back pairings who are both right/left footed
-
Arent we just better buying someone under 21 who might actually develop into something good - would do the same covering role and wouldnt take up a CL registration spot
