Are we ever going to sign a 'creative' midfielder under this management team?

quote author=NE5 link=topic=60100.msg1718487#msg1718487 date=1235670135] Shepherd didn't give us 15 years of anything. Stop trying to use Sir John to mask what was 3 good years under Shepherd. Shepherd took us from 2nd to 13th within 12 months and reduced us from being a club with cash to one with almost as much debt as resale value. Shepherd took over us in 2nd and 10 years later left us in the same position as after his first 12 months in charge, 13th. All of the above are facts. I will give Ashley more time because he's having to turn a club around that was going one way and that wasn't up. Whilst applauding either party embroiled in a NE5 argument is as futile as clutching the walls along one's descent down a pit of intellectual hell, credit is due nonetheless for moments of clarity: Agenda > Logic and facts, with you too then mackems.gif Obviously, why do you think I spend so much time in GC?

A work of art. The music is bellissimo.
-
DJ on a roll today.
-
Fantastic diagram. It's clear Harps needs to play it to his defence as Van Der Saar only has 5 passes which went over the halfway line, as opposed to ALL of Harps'.
-
Bobby had even a Woody-less defesive unit working well, which says it all about having the right manager in rather than sometimes even the better players.
-
Well played.

Is there an emoticon for 'Race Card?' Someone make one for me, please.
-
Eh?
-
Jayson, I think the issue here is that everyone associated with the club has already recognised all the wrong things that continue to happen on and off the pitch, so we're clutching at whatever positives we can take here.
-
Let's all fucking weep then, eh? Coz that certainly helps.
-
Did you miss the red card?

I had a sore throat before the game started. Love pretty much killed it. I think I need to go in for surgery.

Up until the tackle I kept asking myself why Butt was the one controlling, or trying to control, our entire midfield. There were two occasions when Butt looked beside him and he was languishing a few paces behind, and Butt passed forward or to the wings. Had no drive. I know I'm being harsh, but I thought he was our Butt replacement for the long term. Not saying he can't be, like, before someone starts saying I've already written him off.
-
While not our best player, he was splendid today.
-
Butt my Man of the Match. Wow, first time I've ever typed that. Also, I understand this whole Bassong love-in now on here, I want to make man-love to him. He's so beautiful to watch *sob*....
-
Was absolutely fucking shit today. Outshone by Nicky Butt (who was immense) is not a good beginning. And I'm not even talking about the horror tackle.
-
Nolan the Invisible Man. Ffs someone take charge in the center!

I'm sorry, but if an investor promises x-amount of interest on your investment, the figure of 'x' being way higher and abnormal compared to the rest of the market over the past decade, and you don't do your research or even stop to ask 'why,' then you've been had, and should be ready to wave that cash goodbye. I do feel sorry for people who've lost their money to this wanker, but come on, if you don't understand finance at the very least get better advisors.
-
Happy Birthday Sir Bob...
-
The 'new' manager will be Joe Kinnear.
-
Good thing you softened your stance GMan, I was gonna lay right into you. Get. Him. Signed. ASAP. FFS, what's wrong with this club? Can't tell a diamond from greying coals.

Anyfive, understand that we were going to go into solvency if the fat one and his cronies had stayed around any longer, spending and paying each other astronomical salaries while getting the club into more and more debt. Who knows how the credit crunch would've affected us then?
