  1. Imagine a world where the US wins the World Cup. Goodness me.
  2. So basically wanna replicate Wigan's run. Martinez loving cunt.
  3. Well Neymar got what he wanted. A whole summer of lying in the grass.
  4. 0-2 down last game, brings on subs, the subs score to win 3-2. Forgotten that?
  5. Very defensive indeed. Never been that big of a fan of the Italian sides.
  6. I despised the way they played, typically defensive. Plus at the time I worked in a predominantly Italian-Canadian neighbourhood of Richmond Hill, where the daily fumes from hair-gel drove me insane. Football talk with those guys basically went "Italy's the best!"
  7. TBF nothing will stoop lower than the Italian World Cup win. Jammiest string of games I've ever seen, with some of the worst "performances" from the champions. If VAR had been around, Australia would've knocked them out. If England win, it'll come close to that World Cup winning run, eking over the line like a slow, fat, swindler who can't believe his luck. But somehow the Italians will always hold the title, for me, as the most undeserved champions ever.
  8. Been great the last couple of games. Decisions overturned by ref in a normal, sane manner, relatively quickly to boot, and in one game VAR wasn't even called upon at all. Hopefully this means a lot of the early creases are being ironed out. Ready for the Prem if you ask me

Aye Hendo and Stones should wind their neck in
  10. Someone didn't think this thread title through, methinks. Although it IS Pride Week here, and I'm all for the sentiment.

This is gonna be a snoozefest, isn't it?
  12. On BBC, Pat Nevin says it's penalty, and Murphy says it isn't. FWIW, I think it was a perfect, clean tackle, never a penalty or a foul. However, what VAR is done is brought to light how all of us interpret laws of the game. This is going to be the key talking point going forward when / if VAR becomes worldwide.
  13. Didn't he get sacked from his club for it? Yup. Bitter fucks, who does that?
  14. Loving these videos. Although my favourite SK footballing memory will forever be Ahn-Jung-Wan (sp?) putting that header past Italy to knock those wankers out.
  15. Very good The last time the Germans crashed out in the group stages was 1938. In 1939, Hitler invaded Poland. Oh shit, bro.
  16. Yep, this is where I am as well But I'd like to add it has some way to go until it's actually seamless in its implementation. These are growing pains.
  17. I don't understand. It's important for a club to keep its "powder dry," so we can pounce on our targets in January. But then everyone knows that window is too overpriced, so best wait until following summer. Keep the faith. Wait.
  18. We've been back on forth on this in the other VAR thread. I disagree with you on this, but that's fine. I think from a Newcastle perspective, seeing how long we've gone without being given penalties, especially stonewall ones at certain grounds, I'd be over the moon with some decisions going our way for once. FUCK YOU HOW DARE YOU BE REASONABLE about this I'm on Twitter a lot and when two people disagree amicably, it really feels like there's some hope in the world.
