Newcastle United 1-0 Manchester United - 06/10/19

I think he needs to set them up to frustrate Man Utd. Man Utd have struggled to break teams down this season it’s only when teams open the game up do they hurt you with the pace of James & Rashford. Bruce needs to get Saint-Maximin & Almiron on the pitch at the same time and play to counter them. Dubravka Schar Lascelles Dummett Manquillo Willems Ki Longstaff Saint-Maximin Almiron Joelinton -

I agree with this Rafa was perfect for young talent under Bruce they have no direction whatsoever I remember people saying Rafa got lucky with Longstaff as if he had nothing to do with his rise & had nothing to do with his understanding of the pivot role. He looked so well coached/drilled. The Man City game and Wolves away game in particular. -
They would go for Rodgers I’d guess if they needed to. Rafa with Spurs squad = they'd challenge to win the league with City and Liverpool. They'd have an incredibly solid back 3 or 4 and the proper quality on the pitch to execute his tactics and then you add in Kane as the striker. Filthy. A Spurs fan was on Talksport earlier saying they should get Rafa Benitez. Said they’re needing an experienced proven winner. I reckon they’d go for Rafa or Mourinho they’re desperate for trophies so it makes sense.

Frank Lampard showing someone good tactical flexibility Very impressive when they’ve switched to this 3-4-2-1. Tomori looks talented playing out from a back 3.

Poch asking his assistant how long left to play
-
Poch Out. Rafa Benitez In.
-
Winks has been terrible.
-
The amount of spare seats at Man City for a Champions League game
-
Ndombele is having a great game with the ball. Not seen him play this well.
-
Would the club have let him though It seemed a club policy to not keep him apparently Rafa Benitez could only veto incomings not outgoings.
-
He really isn't. He's just thoroughly unimpressed by everything, everything was better in his day, everyone is a wanker to him. He's a miserable, dour prick that never really adds much but abuse, criticism and negativity. The man is deranged. He makes Souness seem like Jimmy Bullard in comparison. Graeme “Effort/Desire” Souness. He never offers any tactical insight. He thought we played a back 4 vs Spurs when the Skysports lineup even showed him before the game it wasn’t.

VAR isn’t needed apparently.
-
Thank god for VAR

Will any of them be back to give Bruce a spanking?

Had to decide between Leicester win & Perez to score OR Leicester win & Schar to get booked thankfully picked right
-
I sort of agree tbh, I would be delighted if we got £10m for Gayle, and that's purely down to his age. The real problem is we should have spent that £16m on hiring a proper manager. Or even better spending it on keeping the great one we had. What makes you think he wanted to stay? If the club had shown some ambition, given Rafa the reigns, sorted the academy and training facilities like any normal club then he would have stayed, no doubt. Unless you believe what Mike Ashley, Lee Charnley, Richard Keys tell you

Bruce talking about/insulting Rafa again
-
What ball is this they’re using?
-
Wrong it was in reference to Rafa saying he didn’t enjoy the approach he had to take to beat Man City.
-
Same start as last season.
-
Spurs 11% possession in the second half
-
The most impressive in and out of possession of the promoted sides. Very well coached team.
