  1. Intresting I agree with most of that however odd you don't seem to recognise the facts of Alan Shearer impact 80 goals in the Robson's 3ed 4th and 5th seasons which would suggest the opposite to your opinion. However your right in praising Robson impact signings of Bellamy and Robert, Laurent Robert somebody who in his first season when we finished 4th got 11 goals and and twenty nine last passes prior to other players scoring (Stat from Sir Bobby Autobiography) Anyway its gone slightly off topic your right back to the current mess Shepherd has put us in
  2. Showing my ignorance once again? Alan Shearer was one of the cataylst thats for sure 80 goals over Sir Bobby's 3ed 4th 5th makes him one of the catalyst for our high times. if you don't agree who do you suggest was/where the cataylst for 3ed? Souness and his wonderful improved dressing room?
  3. MR HINDSIGHT So let me get this straight after finishing 3ed you stood up and said "Shearer now should retire" and "Sir Bobby should go"... Unbelievble!!! always makes me laugh when people say such rubbish Errr sorry but I said we should replace Shearer and that Robson should go, yes. As grassroots MIGHT confirm if he can be arsed. I have no doubt he'll remember. Good of you to make a stupid personal judgement based on fúck all. So right after finishing 3ed you stood up and said the two very catylst of getting us 3ed should go? Laughable
  4. Given Carr -- Taylor -- Ramage -- Babayaro Solano – Dyer -- Parker -- Duff Siberski -- Martins Subs Harper, Bramble, Emre (70 mins for Siberski use Dyer behind Martins), N’Zogbia(70mins for Duff), Milner(70mins for Solano) On their game spoke to my Manchester City season ticket holder friend and he says Pearce prefers to use Samaras and Corradi from the start and use Vassel pace off the bench so we will need to watch that, strength wise I think they are stronger then their league position suggests much like us, interestingly they are yet to concede a home goal this season however I see there strength as there centre two of Hamman and Barton who have the ability to be a very strong centre two, also they have pace on the wings with Beasley and Sinclair so overall much stronger team then the form table suggests I feel. On our game normally I say Roeder must go with the Midfield four of – Duff —Emre — Parker — Solano – which in my opinion we should base our team around but with Dyer supposedly now fit and the fact he offers straight movement from midfield rather then Emre predictable lateral movement he maybe would be a more complementary partnership with Parker who could protecting the back four (a roll he got player of the season for us last year) so that could give us much better balance, however in my opinion with our fantastic rotation squad that Roeder keeps failing to use properly we have the chance to use Dyer, Milner, N’Zogbia off the bench for the last important 30/20 mins of the game to possible change the game or bring much needed energy and pace to the last period of games this is something that frustrates me that Roeder does not use our squad to its best use however this is something he could use for Manchester City game tomorrow we shall see. In Defence the debate is always which is the two of the four of (–Taylor-Bramble-Ramage-Moore) should Roeder go with till January? I think Roeder is still very much up in the air with who he likes as a pair not only that but all around the team he seem to not fancy players which I think is a weakness that’s one of my big worries about Glen. However for me I am a big fan of Steven Taylor and I believe Roeder needs to recognises his talents as potentially being a terrific centre half for us and he needs to find a partner for him and build on that rather then chopping and changing his starting two and keep on that partnership till he can get a experience centre half in January to play alongside side Taylor. I would go for Ramage who I’ve seen twice get 8/10 solid performances as a Centre Back in a clean sheet away wins against West Ham and a Home clean sheet win against Fernabache, I would love to see Ramage and Taylor been given a real chance as a pair. Result- depends on Roeder selection and use of subs but I still have faith Manchester City 1 v 2 Newcastle, Duff, Martins Howay the Lads

  6. Yeah never worked for us... comeback kings i recall... awfull really annoyin i mean annoying blueconfused.gif
  7. Krul Carr Taylor Ramage Babayaro Solano Parker N'Zogbia Duff Rossi Luque Subs Harper, Bramble, Butt, Milner(65mins off Nobby), Siberski(65mins off Luque) Prediction- Newcastle 3 v 0 Sheff United, Rossi, N'Zogbia, Siberski Howay the lads
  8. Arsene Wenger who with Comoli is close with N’Zogbia agent has already said he won't be buying anyone in the January transfer window, However the Person (Comoli) will however try and get Shepherd to part with Charles is Tottenham, its well known Spurs desperately need a Left Winger to balance their side and Martin Jol working with Comoli (who as Director of Football has a huge impact on who goes on their shortlist ) will try and do the deal for N'Zogbia this January. Freddy Shepherd needs Roeder to balance up the income and outcome just like Sir Bobby Robson did (net 28 million spent and brought in huge money through sales and league positions and European football consistently revenue) its probable N’Zogbia will be one of the incoming fee’s needing to balance the book along with a few other names. With the money Spurs have Freddy Shepherd will likely let Charles go for a mere £6million I’ve already got my money on N’Zogbia going to Tottenham so don’t be surprised
  9. Aye and our best player last season also. For me Parker is our best player, you build your team around your best players, and if fit I would have Dyer playing off Parker breaking from midfield but for now Emre and Parker is a good partnership despite the myth they can not play tougher.
  10. Why Roeder is resting players for the Premiership something we are going for 5th that wins a place for the competition we are resting players in on Thursday... very strange However with the Squad he has gone out with I would play... Krul Ramage Bramble Taylor Bernard Solano Butt N'Zogbia Milner Luque Siberski On their game I’ve seen them start with a 3-5-2 with defensive wing backs this season so this will be our first time Roeder will have to come up with a way to beat them and this formation, their main strength is the midfield 3 with two box to box midfielders of Braciano and Simplicio who Nicky Butt will have to deal with. On our game Roeder must be clever in his selection with Charlton on Saturday we need to use our squad to best use, I would of rested players the other way around I see no logic in resting players for a completion we are trying to get points in the league to qualify for next season, however he has done what he has done so looks like we will be without Owen, Martins, Ameobi, Rossi, Duff, Parker, Babayaro, Carr, Given... Best formation to combat theirs and for us with a injury hit first team line up is as i see it 4-3-2(inside wingers)-1, however I doubt Roeder will go for this formation he will proberly go for a defensive version of it which is 4-5-1 which will be as effective as when we used it up in Old Trafford, however either way its a chance for Luque in the team which will be intresting, I would play Alberto as a Inside Left a position he was a star for back in Spain for Deportivo and also I would use Milner in this Inside forward position on the right. As the midfeld three up against there three i would play Nicky Butt as the screen who will have to watch Simplicio and Braciano runs and N'Zogbia for energy on the left of him and Solano on the right of him to link up the play between our midfeld 3 and our front 3. Either way with Roeder 4-5-1 or the 4-3-2-1 i think we should go with Siberski has a big job on as lone striker. Result- I think it will be close but if Roeder goes for the right formation then we can get a draw Palermo 1v1 Newcastle, Howay the Lads
  11. Agree... The ultimate one that got away for NUFC was not bringing in Mourinho when we had the chance when Robson did eventually take over tbh. Maybe. Its true Sir Bobby Robson offered Jose Mourinho a job as assistent (before he became a full time manager at Benfica, Porto Chelsea) and promised him he would nurture him to be his successor. However Jose did not want to wait to be a full time manager so waited a few mouths and took managers jobs at Benfica then Porto and the rest is history... Jose Mourinho would of been a fitting replacement for the great Sir Bobby Robson
  12. Harper Carr Bramble Moore Babayaro Milner Parker Emre Duff Siberski Luque Subs Krul, Taylor, Ramage, Butt, Solano(80mins), N'Zogbia(70mins), Dyer(75mins) On their game I’ve seen them start with a 3-5-2 with defensive wing backs this season so this will be our first time Roeder will have to come up with a way to beat them and this formation, their main strength is the midfield 3 with two box to box midfielders of Braciano and Simplicio who Scott Parker will have to deal with. On our game Roeder must be clever in his selection with Charlton on Saturday we need to use our squad to best use, I would use the relatively more experienced centre backs of Moore and Bramble for the Thursday tie and bring in my preferred pair of Ramage and Taylor for Saturday. In midfield Emre muscle problems seem to have returned however against their 3 its vital Emre and Parker play so we can deal with their main threat and Emre can be rested for Saturday. On the wings I think Roeder should go with the legs of Milner out in Palermo and bring in the clever Solano for Saturday game. And up front this fixture will be the most paper thin we have been for a game up front with Owen out, Martins out, Rossi out, Ameobi out, Dyer out (what other team has to deal with these injuries?) so Roeder must go with Alberto Luque who I would not be surprised if he stars out in Palermo and Siberski picks himself in Europe this season Result- I think it will be close Palermo 1v1 Newcastle, Luque Howay the Lads
  13. Harper Carr Taylor Ramage Babayaro Solano Parker N'Zogbia Duff Rossi Martins Subs Krul, Bramble, Emre,Milner(70mins)Ameobi(70mins) On their game I’ve looked at what they might go with and if he goes with the front two of Hassilbank and Bent I can see them causing us some problems other then that there is not to much that concerns me about them, I saw last week they moved Andy Reid into a more central position and he looked a threat coming from central midfield but nothing Scotty Parker can't handle. On our game normally I say Glen must go with the Midfield four of –Duff—Emre—Parker—Solano – which in my opinion we should base our team around but with Emre not fully right and Butt also not fit I see it as a fantastic opportunity for N'Zogbia to be given a central role alongside Parker it will be interesting to see if he would relish in that role I certainly think he could push Emre for a place leaving Duff to keep his place on the left also. In Defence if Babayaro is fit he plays the only real selection dilemma is who is the two out of four –Taylor-Bramble-Ramage-Moore? I think Roeder is still very much up in the air with who he likes as a pair not only that but all around the team he seem to not fancy players which I think is very strange that’s one of my big worries about Glen. However for me I am a big fan of Steven Taylor and I believe Glen needs to recognises his talents as potentially being a terrific centre half for us and he needs to find a partner for him and build and keep on that partnership till he can get a expericance centre half in January, to play alongside side Taylor I would go for Ramage who I’ve seen twice get 8/10 solid performances as a Centre Back in a clean sheet away wins against West Ham and a Home clean sheet win against Fernabache, I would love to see Ramage and Taylor been given a real chance as a pair. Result- I think it will be close Toon 2v1 Charlton, Martins and Solano Howay the Lads

    3-4-3

Interesting idea, whilst results are not going well for Roeder he certainly needs to have a think of systems and ideas on the training ground and with us playing lots of games being in the Prem, Uefa, Fa Cup, League Cup he needs to find out the right rotation polity also… One thing that concerns me is he doesn’t not seem to know his best side either which is very worrying and has no forward thinking behind his selections however i could be wrong. I am a big fan of 4-4-2 with movement and width I think that’s the way forward for Roeder. You build around your strength and for me that’s our four midfielders of –Duff—Emre—Parker—Solano— (Subs to change the game N’Zog, Dyer, Milner) these four starters have fantastic mixture of qualities that make it a well balanced starting midfield, you have the Direct winger of Duff and the Link winger of Solano who a overlapping full back such as Steven Carr would benefit from and a possible Dyer inside him who prefers to make straight runs rather then Emre consistent predictable lateral runs. I keep hearing Roeder complain about too many games but for me our Midfield options are perfect for many games its just Glen is not using them right, start with Duff—Emre—Parker—Solano and to change games and to bring energy into the 20 minutes of matches bring on N’Zogbia for Duff, Dyer for Emre, Milner for Solano. On other areas of our team up front I would always pick a fit Obefami Martins, he is 21 and in a new league I think there is so much more to come from this lad though, so for me its who is the best complementary striker to partner Martins??? Siberski against Boro showed he likes to play off a striker and come deep to offer assists as well as goals if it was not for Martins unlucky finishing the partnership would of said to have worked well, however I have faith in Shola Ameobi who was a catalyst with his goals rescuing last season and getting us a Uefa Cup spot with his goals (somebody got his goals to game ratio since Glen took over???) and Shola would be my man to partner Martins with Rossi and Siberski pushing Shola for his place when he is not fit. Despite what people say on here I very much like our experienced full back of Babayaro and Steven Carr and they would be my full-backs, the only real debate in a 4-4-2 of our side would be who is the best complementary centre backs??? I am a big fan of the up and coming Steven Taylor, Shepherd really should of brought in the experienced of Sol Campball or Woodgate who would have been perfect for Taylor to of learned and played alongside, now we can only deal with what we have and Ramage ive seen twice play centre back this season one clean sheet away at West Ham and one clean sheet home against Fernabache and both he was very solid and till January I would partner the two up and coming local lads of Ramage and Taylor with Bramble and Moore challenging there places. ----------Ameobi—Martins---------- Subs --Duff------------------------Solano-- ,Milner, N’Zogbia ------------Emre---Parker------------- ,Dyer --Baba------------------------Carr----- ----------Ramage—Taylor----------- ,Moore ------------------Given----------------- ,Harper
  15. To me it looks like he has been carrying muscle problems all season. Remember he missed a big part of the last stage of last season so its only natural him playing every game since the start of this season his muscles are not super fit and he is struggling in some games fitness wise. However despite this in my opinion he has been one of best performers yet again this season and the best is still yet to come from him.
  16. Very disapointing... Our Youth System should be providing us with the Four choice Striker and also back up Left back not these stupid Players like Antoine Sibierski and Tunisian nobody... Why is there such lack of Youth Products??? God knows why Roeder has picked Sibierski when we could of brought back Andy Cole back to Newcastle United... Shabani Nonda from AS ROMA just got snapped up by Blackburn also why has earth Roeder has picked out Sibierski over the likes of Andy Cole and Nonda for our 4th choice Striker....
  17. Apparently Steve Gibson has already held brief descussions with our Former Great Sir Bobby Robson after getting the green light that Steve McClaren would be leaving Middlesbrough at the end of the season...... I am certainly going to put a few notes on it!!!!.... Sir Bobby come very close to becoming Portsmouth manager last season after postive talks but he turned Milan Manderic down because of wanting a Job nearer his North East Home; so with that in mind and Middlesbrough wanting a manager who will take them to the next step (4th 3ed and 5th) this would be a really fantastic appointment for them and very Logical move for Middlesbrough. I for one would be gutted to see Sir Bobby Robson getting the Middlesbrough Job and we going from the Great CV of Sir Bobby Robson too the CV's of Souness then Roeder/Craig/Shearer!!!!!!! I mean what the F*** has happened to this once High Finnishing and Trophy Challenging and Europian Qualifying Football Club Shepherd? bluebigeek.gif Freddy Shepherd has a lot to Answer for!!!!
