Guardiola is great and one of the best working WITH great players and a big checkbook. BUT out of the top managers I think Guardiola would struggle the most managing a bottom 5 team without a checkbook. I think Klopp and Pochettino would all do better than Guardiola in the job of a bottom 5 club with limited money

Based on the likely 3 teams coming up Norwich can’t even defend in the Championship and won’t spend enough. And Sheff Utd although play a similar system that has been successful for Wolves and us in the Premier League just don’t have the players to cope with the Premier League. Add Brighton with next seasons Jokanovic and the likes of Bournemouth if they lose Fraser will be big strugglers next season. I think Southampton will be the ones to do well next season under a full season of Hasenhuttl who has midtable form since joining. Bottom 5 16th Bournemouth/Brighton/Villa 17th Brighton/Villa/Bournemouth 18th Villa/Brighton/Bournemouth 19th Sheff Utd 20th Norwich Derby will get slaughtered if they come up though.

Aye he always comes across well in interviews
-
It might even be a worse bottom 3 points total next season than last season. I think last season was a record for lowest points for the bottom 3 combined

I’m just surprised Brighton have gone for that Jokanovic style after what happened with Fulham last season which I said would happen. How well will that bottom 5 team transition to such an opposite style? How good will Duffy and Dunk do having to play high? Mathew Ryan and Duffy are the last people you would want to be playing extra passes at the back the way Potter demands. Honestly can’t see that big transition going well especially as the transition is so big. I think Brighton will be 18th/17th only because Sheff U and Norwich will get even more slaughtered next season

Probably good news for us Likely bottom 5 again for them next season. I'm absolutely gutted, Potter showed every bit as a manager who could build us up and drive us back to the Premier League. Another fantastic showing from our disasterous hedge funded American (non) investors. Anyone thinking Brighton will be in trouble with this appointment I believe you will be seriously disappointed. Really? Any particular reasons why you think that Seems another Jokanovic type I’ll be interested to see how he does in the Premier League though.

Probably the only replacement of Rafa I’d be happy with

Just printing money that And great value.

I think a good manager would have broke Everton into the Big 6 with their spend the last few years though. Everton just haven’t had one of the level needed to do that. Most the managers outside the Big 6 just arn't good enough to do it even with £100million every season. I bet Pellegrini has another £100million this summer and still won’t do it. We have one just he hasn’t got the same financial backing as Everton/West Ham to be able to do it

Yet we didn't get to the final and finished six places below them in the league, weird that! Someone needs to update their league table Watford slipped to 11th only 1 team finished between us and Watford. They did well in the league us and Watford were probably the best £ for £ overachievers. I think we actually ended up finishing Top of the league for this with +5 above Watford which gives some indication. Fair, point still stands though. Gracia did well in the league like us Watford were actually one of the few teams that did better than I thought would before the season mainly due to Gracia having no experience of the league but he has done well. Gracia just isn’t a manager that will do well against Man City they love playing those open sides.

Here we go pundit Watford love in after being beat 6 v 0 Rafa must just laugh.
-
Record scoreline for being beat in a final Least Gracia had a go Another team to win the “Having a go trophy” from the pundits yet not being able to beat them like we did.
-
Rafa watching like “I’m one of few men than can formulate a plan to beat that team”
-
Fair play to the Watford fans Most London/Southern fans leave at this point.
-
Me if we don’t get any positive news soon
-
Predictions for Watford next season? I think they’ll slip to around 13/14th but still be decent under Gracia. Likely losing Doucoure.
-
Could be 5 or 6 v 0 this
-
It’s what sets Benítez aside from the likes of Gracia, Rodgers, Silva, Howe...all very good managers but Rafa is a step or two above.
-
They absolutely love playing these type of sides
-
Watford might nick a goal but aye
-
Unfortunately Watford just arn’t setup good enough defensively to have a chance against this type of side like I said before kick off. They could have done with loaning Rafa for the day. Man City just love these type of open sides

there's literally no point him being there.

Aye Ref should have at least looked at that handball. Marriner said not to refer it apparently. Knowing the FA they probably have Mike Dean and Peter Walton in there with him giving their expert advise
