  1. Another Eddie Howe thumping live on TV.
  2. Me when Rafa says the word “Balance” in his pre match press conferences
  3. The thought of Eddie Howe not being Newcastle United manager anytime soon. :celb1: :celb1: :celb: Eddie Howe is way better than what we would get. Nope we’re getting a Champions League winner Edward has lost 16 of his last 27 Premier League games. Only Huddersfield, Fulham and Cardiff have conceded more than that naive fraud. Going from hardly ever seeing us get thumped to getting a specialist in getting thumped is not something I want to watch it certainly isn’t my interpretation of playing the “Right” way. Far from it.
  4. Reminds me of our high press trap against Man City for the winner and the 1st goal against Southampton. But Skysports and Twitter told me Rafa Benitez only knows how to park the bus though
  5. The thought of Eddie Howe not being Newcastle United manager anytime soon. :celb1: :celb1: :celb:
  6. Looks like it could be a £35million lineup vs £340million lineup this weekend With 7/8 of the 11 having started for us in the Championship still. Disgusting.
  7. The Ligue 1 Player of the Year nominees. - Kylian Mbappe - Neymar - Ben Arfa (Someone we gave away for free) - Nicolas Pepe (Someone the board refused to pay £7million for despite Graham Carr trying to convince them now worth £70million) - Di Maria
  8. Some very clever set piece play by Valencia on show tonight
  9. Liverpool playing a crazy high line.
  10. Might need Diame starting to help with set pieces with Lascelles being out. Lascelles being out could prove to be a big blow considering their main goal threat is most likely to come from the delivery of Groß to Duffy and Dunk.
  11. Exactly, its a 4% chance a normal player scores from there. It shows how good Messi is at finishing that people weren't surprised that he scored Doesn’t that rather highlight the xG score for the Sissoko chance as a problem though? How? Well people’s (tongue-in-cheek) argument about why the score for the Sissoko chance was so low was because he’s shite in those situations. The point is to rate the quality of the chance regardless of player, so that just makes 11% seem more erroneous.
  12. Not quite related to this but I quite like the idea floating about for a 5 team relegation from the Premier League.
  13. All black shorts and black socks with a white hoop on top of the socks
  14. Gary Neville “Man Utd(With a £500million+ squad) against Man City are only capable of 1 shot on target against Man City, we shouldn’t expect more” Also Gary Neville “Newcastle have been an absolute disgrace to the Premier League, with a squad that cost £2.50 they should be competing shot for shot with the Big 6” Also Gary Neville “This shouldn’t be how a Newcastle United side play this is a disgrace” I wouldn’t mind him saying it if he wasn’t the complete opposite with everyone else + Man Utd of all clubs
  15. Apparently Van Dijk has won PFA players’ player of the year Good to see a defender win it for once.
  16. Exactly what I was thinking I wonder if Wolves finish in their current position of 10th will they still be regarded as the best side to ever come up in the history of football? Considering Rafa Benitez finished in the same position of 10th first season up too but with a budget of £2.50.
  17. Is there an xG version of this? That'd be interesting. I never take xG stats serious since they viewed the Moussa Sissoko chance at Liverpool as a 11% chance of a goal type chance Its based on fact Shots tell you absolutely nothing. Before xG came along shots on target was the best indicator, now xG is. Shots is irrelevant Absolute rubbish. They had that Moussa Sissoko chance at Liverpool as only 11% chance of a goal how can you take xG serious
  18. I don’t agree. If they played the team they came up with for a full season with Jokanovic as manager I honestly think they would have conceded over 100 goals and ended up on like 9 points. Their board were the ones that actually gave them a chance of staying by giving Jokanovic over £100million problem was he setup his team in a way that gave them absolutely no chance of staying up. Rafa would have kept up that £100million Fulham squad easily.
  19. Apparently Norwich have set a limit of just £20million spending money if they come up Definitely going to be next seasons whipping boys.
