The Magedia Thread - Sunderland suck trollolololol
OzzieMandias replied to Rocker's topic in Football
I cant think of any nufc fan that wouldn't be chuffed if we make it back up in the first attempt. I think what we are trying to say is...if we go up the great feeling will eventually be knagged away by the thought of ashley not selling up. Repeating what took place last season and going down again. The fresh wave of opimism that goes with a promotion will disappear quickly and will be replaced by Ashleyism. Nevertheless, I will celebrate if we go up. You and Antec can go and slash your wrists. Have it your way then, slash your foreheads. -
Someone's simply made that up.

Is the Barley Mow no more? I haven't been in London for a while, but in the past I had some excellent nights in there.

One of the reasons I've always hated Spurs was that their fans seemed like such a bunch of moaners, but today that seems to be the only area in which we are outperforming them. -

Anyone who isn't celebrating if we get promoted doesn't deserve to call themselves a Toon fan. -

Well, that happened and this one happened too. Same reply: Get over it.

I bet the entire Irish population was pissing itself laughing after the Hand of God goal.

The CV of every single current Premiership manager would suggest otherwise. You mention Dalglish, for example, but Liverpool long ago abandoned the practice of appointing from within. You must have missed the bits when I started talking about Juventus, Milan etc. then. Anyway Hughes, Zola (other than stuff with U21s, which was the national team to be fair) both went straight in at the top. So did McLeish if you include the top division in other countries. So not the CV of every current PL manager then. If you can call Wales or the Italy U21s "the top". But they are neither "top" nor league football. McLeish, as I already pointed out, started at Motherwell. I'm sure that's "top" in someone's book, but not mine, as it's way below the level he works at now. So you're wrong, basically. Meanwhile, let's applaud the glittering careers of those who previously stepped in at the top in the Premiership. Southgate, Gullit, Vialli... Any more examples of such resounding success?

I forgot Hodgson, who started out at Halmstads.

The current Premier League does not contain one single manager who started at the top, unless you count Hughes at Wales or Zola at the Italy U21s. Sir Alex Ferguson began at East Stirlingshire, O'Neill at Wycombe, Moyes at Preston NE, Bruce at Sheffield United, Redknapp at Bournemouth (after assisting in Seattle and Oxford City), Allardyce at Limerick, McCarthy at Millwall, Coyle at St Johnstone, Megson at Norwich, McLeish at Motherwell, Hart at Chesterfield, Pulis at Bournemouth, Martinez at Swansea. Same with the non-British managers. Ancelotti began at Reggiana, Wenger at Nancy (and came to Arsenal from Nagoya Grampus Eight in Japan), Benitez was at Real Valladolid, Osasuna and Extremadura.

"Knight to Remember" – cheesy title.

I wonder how the tossers at True Faith think it would be better if we had a manager who couldn't work with the owner. We tried that one last season.

Should Celtic & Rangers be allowed to join the Premiership?

I can still remember the pitch invasion by Rangers fans in the Fairs Cup semi-final. Scariest match I was ever at. -

And why would a French consulate be located in Paris? -
I need more information before I make my mind up about all this. If I do go for it, it would be with more than a tenner but probably less than £1500, so I guess I'd be looking to chip in with family and old friends to make up a share, but I need convincing that the plan is realistic. A tenner per supporter is not going to get there. Wouldn't mind giving a tenner to this orphanage in Ghana that Caulkin mentioned, though. Anyone know any contact/donation details of that?

Aw, c'mon. I'm not trolling. Gimp's post was hardly serious either.

Only 9,999,900 to go.

If I do it I'll go alone. No offence lads but it sounds complicated enough, without having 20 or 150 different stakeholders and opinions covering just one share. You'll need a commitee and president for each share judging by the diverse opinions on here. Could have different shares for different factions. The we-want-Keegan-back syndicate, the we-don't-want-Keegan-back syndicate etc ridiculous, we've already stated earlier in the thread, the Poll facility of the forum is a ready made device to reach a consensus on issues. It certainly would not reach a consensus. A poll would just mean that a majority vote would prevail.

Ignorance? It's an ENGLISH league. Should we let Real Madrid into the Premiership too? What happens if Cardiff come up this season? Then it's an English and WELSH league. Anyway, I was talking about the childish name calling of Scottish people and the assumption that all Rangers and Celtic fans are bigots. Some are, but some are not. i'd say theres a higher percentage of bigots at either of those clubs than ANY english club. Millwall?
