When was the last time we shipped 11 goals in 2 games? Last time we shipped 7 in a game? Last time we lost 6 away games in a row? Longest winless away run in over 30 years now. Last time came from behind to win? Last time scored from a corner? Why bother biting? Neesy, man, always looking for something to complain about. Your always trolling and sucking Ashley's cock. You've been banging on about me supporting Ashley (often in a sexual manner) - care to point out where this is the case over the past few months? Similarly, going back to the trolling label - are you still relying on Admin labels or can you form an opinion for yourself? If so, some recent justification would be handy. Just to show that you're not talking out of your arse....again.

when was the last time we scored 6 in the same season at OT and Arsenal?

Not sure he fits in when everyone is fit mind, I like him in the middle, but I thought him, Anita, Perch and Bigi were phenomenal, particularly in the first half. Completely bossed it. Mind you, I was actually quite confident when I saw their line up and bench which makes the outcome even more disappointing. We'll never have a better chance to do them there. We said the same thing after the New Year's 0-0 when Shearer got denied a stonewall pen.

Totally pathetic as usual Stu. How so? It's Nostradamus season on N-O and the doom-mongerers are trying to outdo each other on every thread it seems. Happens every time we have a rough patch, even happened last season between losing our unbeaten status and losing at home to WBA, the Spurs/Fulham thumpings. I've never understood the pleasure that these people get from NUFC, so wonder why they bother - unless it's just for attention on the forum.

Some of the most shameless backpedalling from you of late after the way you've spent the last eighteen months up the man's arse. No backpeddling whatsoever. He's done a good job and I like him and don't want him sacked. Doesn't mean I can't criticise because he's done a dreadful job of late. Thing is, neither of us wanted him appointed and only one of us was truly prepared to get behind him as NUFC manager. Why would anyone get behind someone who clearly wasn't good enough? It is to NUFC supporters' eternal shame that we didn't give this plum the reception that Benitez got at Chelsea. We clapped along and beat Liverpool and enough mugs convinced themselves that he was up to it. I see why the logo was changed. Going to defend Ashley again then Stu? Pretty sure this is a discussion about the idea of booing Pardew during his first game. Are you still singing "we don't care about Ashley"?

Agree with this. I do think it's time to go though. The fact of the matter is we've been dreadful from the very start this season. A convincing case could be made for more or less every point we have on the board at the mo that we've been somewhat fortunate in the means by which we've achieved them. It's a complete waste of my hard earned going to watch this shower week in, week out. Don't go then. You cannot be asking for a change of manager after just two years, when the only full season he completed was our best season in a decade. Yes, the current results are sickening, particularly some of the performances but there was always going to be a drop-off from last season's over-achievements - lets see where we stand in all competitions come May before this ridiculous scenario of sacking managers comes into play.

You can certainly spot the less-travelled forumites whenever this stuff comes up

Remind me how many consecutive seasons NUFC qualified for Europe's premier club competition? Of those seasons, how many times (in a row, no less) did we qualify for the KO stages? Or to compare against Man Utd, how many times have we made the semi-finals of said competition? Don't underestimate what the Champs League has done for Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea and their global appeal - it's watched all over the world.

I'll go and get the flag, ring Clem.

We've had 9 different managers in the last decade; the majority of people on the forum don't know any different to changing your manager after a year or so.
-
Similar to Disco; no need (or point) in changing the manager. I appreciate the majority on here don't know any different as they've only been following us for the past decade or so, but we're not very good when we keep swapping managers before they've had a full couple of seasons in the job. Bringing in a first team coach with the remit to work on the attacking mentality of the game, while Pardew and Carver continue to work on the defensive side of things, would be a shrewd move. What happened to that Dutch bloke who worked with the Welsh team?
-
By whom? Certainly not by the supporters, we've enough evidence over the past 5 years that all the hand-wringing, vocal dissension and misspelt bedsheets from the stands doesn't affect his decision making. The only way he'll look at replacing Pards is if we start to seriously get threatened by relegation. As the mackems have proven so far, you can be utter shite in this league and still stay out of the drop zone.
-
He's already made us a difficult side to beat though IMO (something that he deserves a tremendous amount of credit for), do you not think he should be pushing on and trying to build on that? The next logical step seems to be to focus on our attacking play, which on the evidence if this season he either isn't doing at all or else he has no idea how to go about it. True, but there's the added complication of squad rotation (cup games) and having the prep time for matches reduced. He's never had to deal with this before as a manager (European competition) IIRC, so he's got to cut his teeth too.
-
Why? We've got naturally talented attacking players, not so much with the defensive side. It's in Pards interests to make us hard to beat before making us an attacking threat.

E, gads. To think this forum used to be a good read. I can't believe there are people genuinely wanting AP removed less than 6months after our best finish in almost a decade We've lost 4 games all season; two vs Man Utd, one v Chelsea and a genuinely underwhelming loss to West Ham (very few other teams that we play will be coached by an ex-manager, captained by an ex-captain and led from the front by an ex-number 9). We've not been playing brilliantly this season, but then we weren't pulling up trees during the unbeaten start last year - we simply had an easier run of games until the difficult trio in November (Citeh away, Man Utd away, Chelsea home). Unsurprisingly, when we picked up a couple of knocks and suspensions, we had another slight dip against what most people would consider to be 'lesser' teams (Norwich, West Brom). I'm still convinced that Pards is rotating the squad well to keep us involved in Europe until the New Year and picking up enough points to keep us within touching distance (6/7 pts) of the Euro spots. If we burn out all of our 'key' players by playing them in every match until March, who do we play for the last 2 months of the season? Wasn't that the issue that MON had at Villa? EDIT: whoever changed the thread title...

2-2 draw if Colo doesn't make it

Where's he running? Can't see him entered anywhere. I think it was running in Australia last night, got hammered. Now not going to run in the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday. Was only running on Sat as he missed the cut for Tuesday's cup. Bit of a shocker on the card (Oaks Day) - all the big names got turned over.
