Your brain shuts down at times, doesn't it? And he has done what really good when he has been playing? It's irrelevant. He hasn't let anyone down. He's coming back from several seasons out with injuries. His technique is good, he needs to figure out how to use it and the tempo in England. He's far more capable and potent than many other players. Your reaction is over the top and brings his performance into a dramatic context, as it always does. Don´t think so. And beside I haven´t said anything about the future. Just that he´s a long way from being good enough to play in the PL. Just sick of people overrating so many players.

Yeah with Gosling, Vuckic, Willo, Shola, Harper, Simpson and some others so we won´t have any players left. Because playing with 5 men is better than having Obertan at the bench.

The way some people is defending some players and writing of some is hilarious. He seems to have some skills with the ball, sometimes. But that is just not enough. Right now offers he no more than Gosling. So it´s up to them to start performing, and that fast.

So annoying to lose when we was just as good. But just face it. When our best players aren´t playing the players behind really don´t have that extra to score. Lovely performance from the young guns though!

To people calling Obertan shit and don´t deserve to start I ask, what have Vuckic ever shown? I gladly been shown the opposite. But I really get irritated when some players always get slaughtered and some don´t, even if they are performing at the same level.

It´s very poor from the coaching staff to do the same thing over and over again when it´s clear it´s not working. To be honest it´s embarasing. Especially when Pardew even said at the end of last season that it was something we needed to be working at

You can hope so. But why I´m not so sure is that we basically has start from scratch again, even if we was playing so good last season. I know that we can play, we have even seen glimpses of it this season, and that is why it is so frustrating.

Some times when I´m I can agree that my posts can be - But most times, like this time, I just write what I´m thinking just so a debate can get going. But it doesn´t really help with responses like this. so I ask again. What do you disagree with? Don´t you think that we are struggling to control games even if we have class players? Just look at a team like Arsenal. They can lose player after player. but there passing game never get bad. I think that is more to coaching than anything else. Don´t say that, that is they only way forward. But we would die if we got better at it.

what I mean is that Cabaye is a very important play for a team with his offensive play. But unlike Tioté he really can´t control a midfield and set the tempo. That is a big weakness for me. When he is the "main man" he more than often let us down and disappear. With Tiote he is, when on form (and is playing further up), a brilliant player. Without him we, and him, struggles big time.

I have said it before and is saying it again. I´m not that sold with Pardew as a coach. Yes he has exceeded the expectations by far. But after a so good year as the last one this was the season to build on that. Yes Ashley hasn´t made it easy. But to have been here almost 2 years we are still struggling to have a good offensive and we are pathetically bad a set pieces. He talks a lot about "play it at the deck" and "control the game". I don´t think he has that in him to teach. That and that he seems to have some weird ideas about formations and personnel. So far this season. The quality of our first team has definitely saved us.

I think Tiote is a more important player for us in that he is better to dominate a midfield and is better to control the tempo in a game. Cabaye is needed for his offensive play and is, on his day, a very good footballer. But when is the main star in a team I think he struggles.

His just so out of shap it´s not even funny. Then I want to say something that will make 90 % of all people here go crazy, and that is that I think Cabaye is over hyped. If he is the player he is supposed to be he just don´t disappear from games like he does. When he is in form he is a great players. But I think he luck the ability to control the midfield and a game. Maybe that has something to do with him playing far to deep. But as a star player in our team. It´s just not ok the start he has had to this season. If we had some sort of a squad he should definitely be dropped. But we don´t.
