Fine, I can agree with those that think Simpson is an good defender, or what ever. But that´s it.
Therefore how anyone can be scarified with not replacing him this summer is just silly
There are no excuses. No excuses whats so ever.
-
Opta sports: "Since his debut, Newcastle have conceded 1.24 goals/game in matches Cheik Tiote has started compared to 1.83 goals/game without him.
-
Are they not only looking for heart problems and other injuries that might occur?
-
People are absolutely ridiculous about Simpson. He's not great, but you'd think he was in a f***ing wheelchair the way some go on about him.
I think it´s more about the potential we have in the first team and that every other position is of good quality while our RB, Simpson, is in the same quality as Obertan, Gosling, Raylor, Shola etc. The second team that is.
-
As said before. You also need two good wingers in a 4-4-2 and we don´t. It also helps to have two good fullbacks, and we don´t.

Tbh it´s nothing then pathetic that we haven´t signed him yet. I´m all for values of the money. But sometimes you need to go up a little bit extra to get that bit of flair than you need.
It´s really a no brainier and I can´t get the right words if we don´t get him.
Sometimes Ashley is just pathetic. I haven´t seen anything yet of this "new found enthusiasm.
So we lack flair and Ashley should pay money for Debuchy in order to put that right?
I've seen far more pathetic behaviour by owners than Ashley's negotiation tactics, however frustrating it may be at times.
I´m not talking about doing a Liverpool, Sunderland or what ever and just pay everything.
I just trying to say that to what cost can we try and wait for bargains? Can we go another season with this squad and be successfully without improving the squad? Ashley seems willing to do that. I´m not to sure.
Then it´s not only that. But we may also miss an opportunity to go even future etc. And what if we gamble now. Do an ok season but misses out of Europe next season and of that reason losses a lot of our best players.
Sometimes it´s more than some quid. That is what I´m really about.

Grow up ffs! From what Debuchy has said he has been given lots of different contradictory excuses as to why he hasn't been able to leave so what makes you think it has been straightforward from our side to sign him?
Fine. We don´t know exactly what is happening etc. But what I´m also trying to say is that if we stand there after the window has closed with nothing. Has it been worth it in the long run?
Maybe we also, at some point, should walk away if they won´t talk sense and look at some other targets. We badly need to upgrade so a "we tried" isn´t enough for me. The same goes with a striker. There are basically no excuses.
We may not get what we really want. But is it better to gamble and not do anything like Ashley seems to like? Sure it may be the best. But at some point it won´t and to gamble more is nothing I would like to do.

+£15m for Carroll ffs.
And we can´t squeeze out a few quid for Debuchy and a CB. What the hell are the thinking with?!
-
Feel really sorry for the lad and for is as we have to cope with Simpson at RB
If we don't get him, Perch must be first choice RB.

After witnesses the start of this season I´m concluded two thins.
1) He is the most awesomeness fotboll player, at this club anyway
2) He needs to be the central person in our build ups. He should have a free role in the middle of the park behind Ba and Cisse, in a kind of a 4-3-1-2 system.
-
I´m not disagreeing with you
But the problem is that we need RB, CB and a striker just as much. The problem is just that Ashley completely ignore that since he is looking at the prince.
Man, he is even more obsessed with chasing sales than me at supermarkets

Maybe more down to Jonas' natural fitness to keep carrying the ball for 90 minutes then?
As I said. I got nothing against the sub this weekend. Was just saying that in this case it doesn´t necessary is a more offensive sub to take out the LB.
It´s not like taking out Simpson for Marv or anything
-
FFS can´t you by players even if you are sweating to hold on at your players
Just a bad excuse.
-
Tbh. I don´t think taking Santon off and to put Jonas as LB needs to make us more offensive. General I would say that Santon is a more offensive threat than Jonas.
But in this game I think I can agree. Santon hasn´t hit last seasons form yet (as many others hasn´t...).

I hate to say it. But if we could run like Liverpool we would be a much better team. Hate to see us just stand in position hoofing it like yeasterday..

We don´t play 4-3-3

Arsenal

Enrique?

How can you be a stoke fan and watch this week in week out?
If it is your club, it is.

Taking a step back i don't think there was much difference between our 2-0 winning performance and our 2-0 loosing performance other than the obvious one... We took our 2 chances (in fact the goals were that good you could say half chances) and yesterday we didn't... The penalty was one i'd put in the soft category as to me football is a contact support and you are allowed to make contact it's just wether that contact is a foul or not... Would of been nice to get to HT 1-0 and re-group but Chelsea took their half chance from a well worked move... To get to my point... We don't make enough chances per game and that included last season... We never cut teams open... We were very good at taking what chances fell to us...
Absolutely spot on. This is what I think both for last season, and this. But hey. 4-4-2 is just awesome
-
Someone is terrible at fm.
For your information. I´m quite a beast
-
Ok, so what advantages does four four two give us over the other system?
I think the lack of counter arguments disturbing...
anyway. I basically agree that the most important thing is the system. But as said long time ago. It makes this discussion easier.
And again. What makes you think, people that support our 4-4-2, is the way forward? And have you seen anything that suggest that it will work, or anything?

I don´t agree with him being a good crosser. He is a poor crosser, a bad footballer and an ok defender. But to only have one attribute at the top of the professional level isn´t good enough.
