Although Pope's been ropey on the crosses as well this season. He's been flawless in previous ones.

That's why I said blindsided. We didn't see it coming by the looks of it and assumed we had Trafford all tied up.

We were clearly blindsided by Trafford switching to City. Ramsdale was a last minute save so don't think we can have too many complaints. Other than we should have tied Trafford up earlier.

He couldn't get a clean punch on it because he was challenging for the same ball as Dan Burn. They ended up colliding and the ball dropped to Porro. Maybe he should have done better but tbf Dan Burn would be a problem for most keepers in the air.

Porro should never been in so much space to do a bicycle kick in the first place. Burn and Thiaw are stood next to each other watching the ball lollop into the net.

Also ended up challenging his own keeper for the same ball for the second. Not sure where the blame goes there, he's not the best at scoring with his head at the other end, but he's still a nuisance in the box. You just want it to be at the other end, not ours.

Yep. I also just saw the second goal again and it was Big Dan Burn who actually stopped him getting a better punch out. They ended up going for the same ball.

I just assumed Howe knew him a bit better than we did. His former player right?

I was shitting myself every time he got the ball, and in the end he produced a killer cross and made their first equaliser. He was a lot better defensively than I thought as well. Top player without a doubt.

He should have probably claimed the cross before that anyway. Doesn't take the high crosses at all by the looks of it.

He gave us problems all night. Hall needed Joelinton as back up to keep a lid on him, and he still produced a killer cross no one in our side came close to producing.

And Burn.

I didn't think it was a good performance tbh, we were quite lucky to get given a goal. We started well but there was a lack of end product for all the huff and puff.
