Good footballer is Brady but it would really depend on where Rafa intends to play him. If he's going to be a winger then I'd be concerned about us signing another wide player who's technically gifted but doesn't really have much pace. Ritchie kind of has that covered. If Rafa thinks he's defensively sound enough to play LB then yeah, he'd be a quality signing. Rafa doesn't seem to like out and out wingers so we need our full-backs to provide width. Yedlin and Brady would be a hell of a full-back duo going forward.

I dunno, I'd like us to try and win and get a cup run going. We need a couple of signings soon and I expect we'll get them, hopefully they'll see us through until the ACON lads are back but once those guys do come back we'll hopefully have a pretty decent squad (for this level) and should be able to compete on two fronts.

I like him but think we should sell him and put the money towards somebody who'll actually fit in with what Rafa wants to do. Benitez clearly prefers a pacier option leading the line and doesn't want to go two up top unless we're chasing a game late on. Murphy will likely be just as effective as Mitro in the role he's playing now, which is essentially just a target man when we're desperate. Ideally we'd spend the money on someone who can play up top in Gayle's role if necessary (Murphy can't be the 2nd choice striker, just a bench option) but who's best position is LW so he can replace Gouffran in our strongest eleven.

Probably a pipe dream him coming back but I do wonder if maybe Rafa would take a punt on him for 6 months and see if he feels that he's someone who could be part of the squad moving forward. Loan with an option to buy, if he thinks HBA is too much of a headcase then say no thanks in the summer... Given that we're starting Gouffran with regularity there's no doubt that a player like HBA would improve us immeasurably. At the very least he'd be a very handy addition to the squad for the last five months of the promotion push before getting a long term option in the summer.
