Hoping Italy ruin Sweden in their next game and are already gauranteed qualification by the time they play Ireland. Fearing a Belgian backlash on Saturday, I just don't get how a team with so much talent could be as shit as they were tonight again.

Happy with our performance, we've looked organised and created a couple of chances. O'Shea had to score, surely? Was a lovely bit of play to set up the Hendrick shot off the bar too, would have been a good goal. Fairly shit game for the neutral though I'd imagine.

Definitely a game neither team can afford to lose. Think we'll make a better fist of things this year than we did four years ago. O'Neill is well suited to international management and we more than held our own against Poland and Germany in the qualifiers. Looking forward to the game.

Gonna be interesting seeing where Rafa plays Perez if they both stay. I like the idea of Perez off Mitro up top but only if we have some serious pace on the wings. Townsend and Aarons would be the obvious choice.

You would also like to think we won't need to defend half as much next season, which would benefit his game. Would certainly give Rafa more time to coach him up for life in the Premiership again.

If he stays I could see him improving under Rafa. He has a lot of ability but his defending is largely awful, mostly due to his poor positioning. That's something Rafa should be able to help him with a lot.
