Our movement needs to improve a lot if we're going to make this passing game work, nice to see a commitment to it yesterday but it ended up going long in the end a lot anyway. The 4-4-2 is a big cause, neither of the strikers are much use in terms of dropping off and linking midfield and attack, and both CM's play quite deep when we go with just the two in the middle.

Delighted he got a goal yesterday, will take the pressure off him. I do fear his reluctance to play out wide may become a problem in the coming months though. With the players we have in the squad we absolutely should be playing a 4-3-3 as our main system, but it seems that Pardew still views it as our 'Plan B'. If Pardew has promised Ba he'll be played primarily in the middle then he's made a mistake IMO.

Think people are just frustrated that he's still the best RB we have. He's by far and away the weakest link in our best eleven, it'll be very annoying if we don't replace him before the window closes. Was a standard Simpson performance today.
