So he was just thrilled with a point? Jesus wept. Anyone ever challenge him about it?
-
Has he? I hope we go pretty strong personally, want us to have a real go at this trophy. With the quick turnaround for this one though I could see the argument for a team full of kids.
-
Wonder if we'll leave many first team players at home? Such a long trip, and with the Chelsea game kicking off about five minutes after this one finishes I can see Pards being tempted to pick his eleven for the Chelsea game and just leaving them at home.
-
Beardsley in his talk in said he thinks Marv is just as good as Ben Arfa. In training hard to split them, both have their days. Hadn't heard that cheers. That'd be mint like, would love to see Marveaux and Ben Arfa either side of Cisse at some point.
-
Beardsley was the only other one I can recall that was as elusive on the ball. Good post in any case Yorkie. We need to be building our team and system around this guy, playing him on the right in a 4-4-2 isn't going to get the best out of him.

And ignore Otter, he just likes complaining about things.

Did that point seal your survival or something Brummie? Incredible if not.

Simpson wasn't that bad on Saturday, some of the criticism is way over the top. He is generally a poor footballer and nowhere near good enough for where we want to be though, if we don't buy a fullback before the end of the window it'll be a massive balls up.

Le Tissier was handy at them.

Our movement needs to improve a lot if we're going to make this passing game work, nice to see a commitment to it yesterday but it ended up going long in the end a lot anyway. The 4-4-2 is a big cause, neither of the strikers are much use in terms of dropping off and linking midfield and attack, and both CM's play quite deep when we go with just the two in the middle.

Aye. Also, I forgetting Gosling exists for some reason.

See? You're a real hero man.

Stay out of the thread, no?

Messi scores now Mike.

Great goal that.

Delighted he got a goal yesterday, will take the pressure off him. I do fear his reluctance to play out wide may become a problem in the coming months though. With the players we have in the squad we absolutely should be playing a 4-3-3 as our main system, but it seems that Pardew still views it as our 'Plan B'. If Pardew has promised Ba he'll be played primarily in the middle then he's made a mistake IMO.
-
Pepe got destroyed, Casillas in bits too.
-
Think people are just frustrated that he's still the best RB we have. He's by far and away the weakest link in our best eleven, it'll be very annoying if we don't replace him before the window closes. Was a standard Simpson performance today. Didn't do anything particularly awful, but he's just not good enough IMO.
-
That was crazy shit. He looked destroyed, then he just wanders out and watches the game. Very Incredible Hulk. If you can't take him out immediately, the worse your chances get against him. The longer the fight goes on, the stronger he gets. Aye, his two shows today were horrendous. Dat slice. Beautiful analogy.
