Baseball has no cap and the draft is essentially the same as buying youth players that generally have no impact on the season in which they were drafted. Baseball went from essentially no playoffs (best team won) to a playoff (Best team in AL and NL played WS) to full playoffs and two wild cards and the game hasn't suffered. Tradition is bullshit. How could baseball suffer? The game is completely devoid of excitement in the first place. The only reason people watch is because of the playoffs being random and 'fun', having sat through a 2,430 game war of attrition.

Tradition is fuck all to do with wanting the best team over the season to win the trophy.

They've both has the same lenght of time to learn how to manage, the only benefit for Moyes is that he's had more stability to get players to settle in and play the way that he wants. That and he probably has more say in who comes into the club butour players aren't our problem anyway so that one goes out of the window. Stability is by far my biggest concern right now to be honest. So you would like to compare someone who has been in his job for 10 years, to Pardew, who has been in his for 2? It is a much better comparison to look at Moyes' first 2-3 years in charge. Moyes' second season at Everton they finished 7th. Moyes' third season at Everton they finished 17th, narrowly avoiding relegation. So very different from Pardew's reign at NUFC?
