Even if it was true, that we had to go through some form of stage of mediocre semi-technical nothing-players, it still wouldn't explain why they were in the England team, given we'd still win more games with our previous set of ox-like goal scorers.
He's showed absolutely nowt for me. He looks like your typical mediocre striker, destined for Sunderland/Norwich/QPR/Blackburn et al.
He'd probably still get in my England squad like. If you're good enough for 12th place in the PL, you're good enough for England.
It's not that embarrassing when it's expected. We're technically inept, and they're parking the bus. It's no surprise we can't fashion any decent chances.
Have it that the worst performing qualifying team per tournament points then gd sits it a tournament out then you don't have to drop a nation permanently and it's a goer.
Divn't be daft man. Just make 2 countries merge.
Or do a playoff beforehand. Faroes vs San Marino.
So that means the other team play no competitive football for another 2 years? What chance will they ever have then?
I provided a perfect solution. Just make them merge with another nation.

Right.
UEFA have 13 World Cup spots. 53 teams trying to get into those spots.
Sack off one of the teams, and make 13 groups of 4 teams. First place goes through. Home & away games. Gets a few minnows qualifying, reduces the amount of international games.
DONE.
