    Nile Ranger

There's a dangerous combination! How would Ranger know Balotelli? Indeed.
  3. You'd think so! Got a feeling Pards is going to take ages to play him for some reason though Sifu. Need Raylor to make some more f*** ups (like the one on Saturday) just without leading to a goal this time! Hmmm yeah possibly. Pardew will probably say that it would be "unfair" to drop Raylor at this current point in time....... So aye, your latter part of your post does make sense....
  4. Logically speaking, you'd think so!
  5. A well thought out post Chez. Good balance.
  6. They could offer him £50K/week, with a signing fee of £4.5M for a 3 year deal. That would nearly equal his current deal and not break the wage cap. And it would be cheaper than trying to get a replacement of sufficient quality IMO. Interesting thought/suggestion. If the club do offer Coloccini a new contract, it will be highly incentivised. There's no way Ashley will offer him £80k a week again.

I see Wearside had hijacked this thread today. Not cool

    Alan Pardew

Had the same reaction initially. Loved that from Crumpy, though.
  9. Probably a lot. The pressure of the price tag could be getting to him.....
  10. The lack of competition at RB is probably a key factor. We signed Santon as our new left back so Simpson would still be our first choice RB. I, for one, reckon he can do better, just needs a kick up his arse. His personal problems seem to be behind him so hopefully he'll improve in the coming weeks....

    Kevin Nolan

The reaction at the time was justified imo. Firstly we had no idea how Cabaye would do in this league when we signed him; secondly we sold our top goalscorer and finally we sold our captain and leader on and off the pitch. Of course we've now seen that Cabaye was indeed a fantastic purchase, seems to have adapted to the league well and offers movement and creativity in the middle - something which Nolan couldn't offer. Nolan was a great servant but now we can finally move on.

    St James' Park

I grew up seeing the old iconic NEWCASTLE UNITED sign on the East Stand, so it's hard for me to just accept the new sign especially with SportsDirect.com in such close proximity. St. James' has lost a bit of its soul there.

I can see SportsDirect.com being on our strips at some point............ (hope I'm completely wrong like). Probably been asked before but how long does Northern Rock have left on the sponsorship deal?
  14. I knew that the Women's team existed but reading through their history, yeah looks like they have no official affiliation with the club. Though I imagine that the club does offer some donations/sponsorships from time to time?
  15. Relegation wasn't a 'good thing' but 'good things' did come out of it, if that makes sense. It wiped the clock back to 0000 and allowed us to rebuild and move forward.
