  1. It's really criminal how he's getting away with genocidal defending week in week out.
  2. The last 10 minutes was hilarious, like we were the morons you get online on FIFA, taking a lead then passing the ball about at the back until the game ends knowing that the opposition can't do anything about it. And vs 10 men too. Major trollage.
  3. That interview with Sky in the leadup to the game...what a cunt.
  4. Really don't think it was enough to get a penalty. Was a combination of a bit of shirt pulling, poor balance from Ben Arfa due to being on his right foot and in two minds about crossing the ball, and Ben Arfa going down a bit easily/hoping for some contact.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Thought he 'megged him, which led to the loss of balance and subsequent planking effort.
  6. Yellow for Perch for the obstruction, red for Reina for the headbutt please.
  7. It's comical how bad a decision it has been to play Jonas at left back. Can't believe Pardew is basically waiting it out in the mere hope that they don't make anything of the dozen or so times they've breezed past Jonas. Pardew really is a genuinely lucky manager.
  8. Jonas in central midfield. We really need some pace/legs in there as Liverpool are exploiting Guthrie/Cabaye's lack of pace and Tiote clearly being rusty.
  9. Need more protection in front of the defence. That's like the third time they've picked the ball up in that area and had a clean run at our defenders.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Enrique went from being a loveable, top quality player to a total and utter c*** with the way he left imo. Months of silence during the height of the rumours about CL clubs being interested in him when previously he couldn't stop giving interviews every other week, typical dip in form as he knew he'd be leaving and no longer gave a s*** (similar to Owen), pathetic Twitter outburst (throwing toys out of the pram and implying that the new signings were s***) to force our hand and accept Liverpool's cheapo bid, smug face once he'd got his "dream" move, and I'm pretty sure he said something along the lines of "it's great to be playing for a big club now". Great player though, and it'll be interesting to see how Ben Arfa fares against one of the best left backs in the Premiership.
  11. If we're to compare "like for like" as close as we can, imo Brazilian Ronaldo at Barca and early Inter was that extra bit better than Messi. Less consistent/precise/refined (or more "wild") than what Messi is today, but then again Messi has had 5+ years since breaking through to get to this level of lethal consistency - Ronaldo would have gotten there had he stayed at Barcelona (as Sir Bobby told him to) and remained injury free till his mid 20's. Peak form for Madrid or WC'02 for example, he was lethal and far more precise than his younger years despite being a shadow of the player he used to be. Beyond that, I personally think the early Ronaldo was more electric, causing the opposition more problems on his own (at all levels) than Messi. His footwork/drop of the shoulder/turning ability was greater, he had a wider variety of tricks up his sleeve making him more unpredictable, his movement was immense, and he did everything at full pace - I think he was quite a bit faster than Messi personally (and part of the reason why he was less consistent at that age, i.e. he'd often run into culdesacs or slice his shots wide because everything was so quick). Don't get me wrong, there's not a huge amount in it. If there's a way to summarise this opinion, I'd say that Messi is the more consistent/efficient player, more likely to put a team to the sword if they can't handle him, but he can be shut out and reduced to dropping deeper with enough effort, whereas the young Ronaldo was nigh on unstoppable for 90 minutes at any level (at some point he'll turn someone and have a clean view of goal) no matter the team he was in or the occassion, but was far more likely to miss good chances.
  12. Inzaghi's "how not to beat the offside trap" coaching classes kicking in there.
  13. "It's difficult when your second touch is a tackle"
  14. Personally wouldn't give a penalty for that. The ball was virtually out of play, and Sanchez looked like he dived as he didn't try to take a further step forward - he had already started the falling motion at the point of contact.
  15. Absolutely nothing player who does nothing, contributes nothing, and nothing nothing. That's how big a nothing player he is.
