    Joey Barton

He's been on a free transfer for the past few weeks and noone else seems to want him, hence there's no reason to believe the situation will be any different in 12 months time when he gets his last paycheck from us and gets booted out by Ashley's australian boot. http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSpFmftMnSHTwq6mFYx4qCnn9FVsGBJ6DKzuyltilXwRlnbIb8c Might be better to take the money/contract and run. Away from Mike's big boot. Or, he stays this season, quits twitter (and gives up the blog idea), keeps his gob shut and does his talking on the pitch, and then after another good season he might be either offered a new deal here or other clubs would likely be lining up for him as a free agent. No reason to cut and run to the first club that flashes him a big contract/wage. The problem, as you undoubtedly know, is that the other side of the coin you've highlighted would leave him without a contract and with no "reasonable" suitors willing to take a punt on him. He could for example have another bad season in terms of form (like he did in his first 3 here, which were mixtures of poor performances and constant injuries leading to him frequently "lacking match fitness"), be dropped if other players start playing better, cause more trouble on/off the pitch which undoes this "reformed man" reputation he's only just started to gain, or he could end up getting seriously injured at some point (which isn't all that unlikely given some of the challenges he throws himself into and some of the treatment he gets from other twats).

  3. I've Youtubed him and I can confirm that on an 8 inch screen and at a distance I can't tell the difference between him and Obafemi Martins.
  4. He's been absolute turd for them today.
  5. Good game from Adam Clayton. Potentially decent player in there.
  6. Too tired to lift his foot and put the ball in the back of the net from 2 yards out. Pathetic levels of fitness.
  7. Carew making Ameobi look as spritely as Romario.

  9. Just inviting the pressure and allows Sunderland to pile forward without having to worry.
  10. First half criticisms: Simpson - frequently caught out of position, getting beaten easily down the right. Bruce has done his homework on him and is having Coleman run in behind. S.Taylor - some pathetic attempts at dealing with high balls. Tiote - having a bit of a mare. Wants too much time on the ball. Obertan - looks half a yard off the pace compared to last week. Ameobi - as per usual, completely switched off upstairs. Letting the ball run out of play whilst under no pressure, standing in offside positions, reacting about 3 seconds too late to any attempts of playing him through on goal.
  11. It's what happens when you have a no-mark manager like Pardew in charge. Give this same group of players to someone who can actually coach, like Keegan, and we'd be confidently knocking the ball around on the deck with players moving into space/showing for the ball.
  12. Sib was awful in the Premiership. Did an alright job against the part-time farmers we played in Europe though.

    Erik Pieters

If you google-image him, fifth pic along where he's standing in front of some bushes, you can tell that he's just swallowed his own bogarde there.

You've clearly got your Blinker on as that joke has been done. Stop being a reggie No need for sneijder remarks.
  15. Dyer was a quality player for us at his best. Sir Bobby himself would have told you that (well, he did, in his autobiography). Pace, movement, dribbling, could beat a man, decent finishing when through on goal, and quite importantly he was someone who encouraged the team to play on the deck. The constant injuries were always going to catch up to him, as they would do with any player.
  16. Going back through previous pages randomly found this. Gutted. Just goes to show all footballers talk utter s****. See ya Jose, thanks for the memories. c***. It's pretty clear now that those words were indeed empty pledges of loyalty. Best of luck to Jose. Hope he makes it into the Spanish squad in time for the Euros.
  17. I hold some ill feeling towards him. He was paid handsomely throughout his time here, had one good season in the Championship, then 6 very good months in the Premiership before his head was turned and he started acting like a prat. The way he practically cut communications with the fans (went from weekly in-depth interviews about the club/players/fans/area/etc to saying f*** all) reaked of agent instructions to maintain radio silence whilst his services were whored out to someone willing to pay him significantly more money. The twitter rant was also pathetic, we let fatty Nolan go and bring in a decent number of players with over half the window remaining and he throws his toys out of the pram. He's a c***, no different to Owen, or Beye, or any other footballer who sold the fans his PR twaddle then ran as soon as the opportunity arose. I've been calling him a prick/c*** all summer because he turned cold towards the fans as soon as his head was turned, and I'll certainly continue calling him a c*** for as long as he's wearing a Liverpool shirt.
