I just want a manager who's going to win something. There's nothing quite like winning. I just want a manager who is likely to stay, without walking out or being sacked, longer than 2 or 3 years. I think the majority just want that a stable base where we can watch some decent football again. Ok if we win something along the way great but I just want a good team to get fully behind! And I thought we had it up until a few weeks ago. How wrong you can be eh?

Ok so do you think Ashley's going to make us into top four material then? Can't see it myself with all the fuck up's he's made so far. God i'm turning into NE5

And the revenue we could make from the Asian and Indian markets having him at the helm. Maybe not much from this one like http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3244/2379813011_8615ca5051_o.jpg

tbf, there's not much written about this situation one way or another that isn't ridiculous hyperbole these days. "SHOOT ASHLEY IN THE FACE WITH A ROTTWEILER, SACK WISE, COME BACK KK", blah blah blah. It's all gotten rather boring. No, what's got boring is the fact that we have bent over and taken it up the arses from the club for the last 10 years or so. That's the point though isn't it, it's a different regime now and they shou;dn't have to take the backlash for what has gone before them - no matter how bad it was. The backlash is nothing to do with previous regimes it's of their own making. Totally ignoring key areas we needed cover. Undermining the Manager forcing him to resign. Screwing up season tickets and ripping fans off with the vision they thought they were buying into over the next 3 years. Lack of communication and respect for the paying public. Disrupting the dressing room with word that everyone was up for sale. I'd say quite a few of their own there like.
-
Is it? Ok so a team who's supposed to be pushing for Europe and with the injury record of most of our players being rather suspect and not even accounting for suspensions, you're happy with the cover we have and think we're going to compete with the likes of Villa, Man City and even Spurs over the course of the season? More should have been done, Fact!

I just want Ashley out now! The lack of communication with the fans is disgusting, and combine that with the lack of investment that has left us woefully short on numbers and potentially just having a puppet at the helm, he's shown how little he understands about the area and club. I thought when Keegan was announced to be coming back he had a grasp of what made us all tick but when you treat a legend with such disrespect like he has you have to think it was all a big P.R stunt from the start just to get the fans on board. Then you look at players like Faye being flogged for next to nothing, was this a Keegan decision? Or was it a everyone has their price board decision which left Keegan with the idea someone better would be coming in. This shambles should be shot of as soon as possible even if it's to a foreign investor.

Told ya! Keegan for an assistant manager of a struggling club. Ashley out!

Never mind i'm sure some Arabs will come in.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley wants to flog club to follow Hollywood dream By Danielle Lawler And Jeremy Armstrong 8/09/2008 Mike Ashley (PA) Newcastle soccer boss Mike Ashley wants to flog the crisis club - to become a Hollywood movie mogul. Billionaire Mr Ashley, 45, has spent the past week in the US wining and dining film executives. And he has told pals he is willing to "sell Newcastle tomorrow" if he finds a £250million buyer - and then amazingly wants his own movie studio. A source close to the Toon tycoon said: "He's fallen in love with Hollywood and this is something he has been pursuing for more than a year. "Mike has spent a week speaking to very important movie executives in New York and Miami and is ready to invest. "He has so much money he is looking to buy his own Paramount Pictures. He still loves Newcastle but if someone came in with a decent offer to buy him out tomorrow he would sell up." It would prove merely the latest in a series of bizarre developments in the topsy-turvy world of Newcastle United. But the under-fire sportswear mogul is apparently hellbent on fulfilling his unlikely ambition. One of the bigwigs he has met is movie director Mike Jefferies - who wrote Goal 3, the Newcastle-set soccer drama in which Mr Ashley has a cameo role as himself. The soccer tycoon has ploughed some of his own money into the movie. And the Newcastle insider added: "Mike and Jefferies have a long standing relationship. "He asked Jefferies to introduce him to his contacts in the industry so he would be able to put feelers out. "Mike has thrown a few parties and had meetings to show he means business.

Supposedly. And if he does, and get it accepted. I'll cream my pants in joy and cry like a little girl. What? When he bulldozes St James's and creates the biggest curry house the world has ever known!
-
Jesus! what have they dropped down from?
-
He purely and simply wants to be liked! So now there's no chance of a reprieve with the supporters I think he'll sell within the next week and Keegan will be reinstated by the new owners.
-
The first two would not come here even if we weren't in a mess right now. Don't you think I know that? I'm saying who I want, the club can go fuck themselves.
-
If Ashley drags his heals then Mancini or Rijkaard we will get Poyet or Moyes
-
We'll see come the next managerial appointment. But it seems a little too structured for it just to be a simple difference of opinion.

How long has this actually been in development, I think this has been planned all along by Ashley and Co. Ashley appoints Kev to get the vast majority of fans on his side as well as appearing in his toon top to look like one of the lads! As the team Ashley really wanted to replace Big Sam was unavailable at that time he brings in Kev until his man becomes available. The January window has a couple of weeks left to at least acquire a few players to help us get out the mess we were in, but alas nothing happens with people shocked nothing of note was done. Was this Ashley persueding Keegan that major rebuilding would be done in the summer with keegan thinking major cash will be spent keeping him sweet until then. Then Dennis wise appointed out of the blue which has alarm bells ringing in the media and amongst some fans as a very strange choice and so early in Keegans return. Summer comes and go's with Ashley totally undermining KK in the transfer market with only 1 player coming in that was Kevin's which was of minimal outlay and sells how many under his nose or attempts too? Aswell as buying players Keegan didn't sanction. The other interesting thing is that Poyet suggested to Wise to sign Nacho as he was looking at getting him for Spurs but why didn't he for Spurs? hmmmmm Ashley knows Keegan won't stand for it and is prepared for this stand off, where he'll back Wise all the way until Keegan quits and tries to make it look like Keegans walked away like he has before with Ashley covering his back saying he was not sacked and he wouldn't accept the way the club was doing things. And now the last piece of Ashley's jigsaw is Gustavo Poyet will come in to the fold as he planned all along. I've got this motherfucker sowed up
