Xisco in Newcastle talks PA Monday, 1 September 2008 Xisco would join former Depor team-mate Fabricio Coloccini at St James' Park should he complete his move, following the defender's transfer earlier this summer. Independent.co.uk Web Deportivo La Coruna have accepted an offer from Newcastle for striker Xisco. The Spanish side also confirmed the striker is in talks with the Barclays Premier League club. Xisco would join former Depor team-mate Fabricio Coloccini at St James' Park should he complete his move, following the defender's transfer earlier this summer. A Depor spokesman would not reveal the fee but told PA Sport that 22-year-old Xisco was in negotiations with Newcastle with a view to completing his move before the transfer window closes at midnight. Earlier, Depor coach Miguel Angel Lotina admitted he was resigned to losing the Spanish Under-21 striker. "Today I was told that there are a lot of possibilities that he will go to Newcastle," Lotina told radio station Onda Cero. "He is an important player but the offer which Newcastle made must also have been important. "Moreover, he has only two years left on his contract and, it is obvious, that if he doesn't renew, he'll go. "I don't have confirmation that it has been done, but an offer exists." Lotina also praised the player for improving significantly since coming back from a season-long loan deal at second division side UD Vecindario. Xisco returned for the beginning of last season and immediately proved his worth by scoring nine goals in 14 games. Lotina added: "He was playing for Vecindario 14 months ago and now he receives an offer from an English club."

If we only sign these two we've been linked with and keep Smith then i'll not be over the moon If we do sell Smith i'd expect quite a few to be lined up. Need to stay positive

How did they arrive to that conclusion? No quotes, just taking a lucky punt Please be wrong for gods sake!

Be quite apt if it happens on page 100

Lets hope he's gay

Those three would concern me (know nowt about the others but their circumstances are lower risk), but I trust KK. I think Heskey would improve under Keegan and Malouda has got the talent but maybe being at Chelski he's not getting enough games under his belt. Can play winger and Striker which is a bonus. Atouba has great dribbling ability aslong as he does it up the pitch rather than in front of our area. Put it this way Dave i'd see those players pushing us for a european place if Owen stays like. Heskey would bring out the best in Owen (did so relatively recently for England) and wouldn't cost much but I just think he's very limited. He's about as much a goal threat as Ameobi. Every time I've seen Malouda for Chelsea he's been utter gash. Atouba I've no idea on, but us going for anyone who fucking Spurs see as not good enough would be a worry. Malouda was good I thought when he first joined and then went off the boil somehow, and was even better at Lyon Heskey is a strong physical presence and would suit either Owen or Martins Atouba has looked ok for Hamburg and his tricks are quality as long as he does it where it counts. I'm getting pissed tonight either way, just a shame I havve to watch setanta sports instead of Sky Fuck it if Smith goes I couldn't give a toss!

So from the rumours abound Out Smith In Xisco Gonzalez Heskey Atouba Malouda I'd take that
-
Fuck work i'm on here for the day Xisco and Gonzalez so far and If Smith goes i'll then then go for a then :bng: then and finally Get another 4 in on top of that and i'll even go down on the wife
-
Fucking some of us have to work! Although I do fuck all is irrelevant
-
Is i'llbangyourwhore in the squad?
-
He should feel ashamed if he doesn't sign another deal, the amount he's cost us for someone that's always injured is shocking He should be extending it to pay back the faith that was shown to him
-
Oh joy of joy's! Was he too shite?
-
So what do we have Zayette coming in for a Defensive midfield position replacing Butt? Atouba for left back and fucking about outside our own box thinking he's a striker And Ignacio Gonzalez who's a playmaker of sorts but totally untested. hmmmmmmm sounds like last minute panic stations to me, or after our main targets have told us to fuck off we are now moving onto plan D Don't you just love this club.
-
You've got your head in the clouds if you thought the club would bring in 7 players to walk straight into the first team in one Summer. To be fair that's what was needed
-
If that happens expect a riot
