While Duff hasn't been great, I don't think he's been helped by the lack of options when he gets the ball. He's generally got two players doubling up on him which in theory means there's space somewhere else but we aren't getting the ball out. This is where the central midfielders are not giving any options.

why anyone would 'double up' on duff is beyond me.

if it was possible to put half a man on a player, if i was a manager, i would take up that option when playing against a team that had duff in it.

It's just an interesting comparison as to what qualities to look for when going for a manager in this day and age.

ramos has done well to win today, but lets reemeber we were out of the comp before keegan arrived, and ramos (11th place) has had a lot more time, and a transfer window than keegan (13th place) has.

i think the only one i would swop would be that mong tainio they play in the middle for nzog, which is quite fitting really.......

they are different class to us, have been for along time, we should just admit that and stop making comparisons, there arnt any.

the only thing we should look at is that we are doing what they did 4 or so years ago, new board (ish), new management structure, looking at youth, ready to spend big.

we can hope we will go the same way as they have in time, two top 5 finishes, europe and a cup.

difference is, with benitez and souness we were neck and neck with liverpool, we havnt been neck and neck with spuds for a couple of years, theyve been light years ahead of us.

That shouldn't matter, even if true.  What he does for 90 minutes of a game is the only thing that should matter.
