another false dawn.
he still isnt good enough
-
buy out clause or not, he wont go imo.
it will ruin his reputation letting us pay him for 2 years while he lay ther einjured.
we'll get next season out of him, and then unless we make great leaps, he'll be off next summer
-
the blokes a fucking media whore.
he will soon realise that people take much less an interest in what he says now he isnt at man utd.
well done gay roy, you've made yourself look a prized twat, again.
-
lets get this right,
owen isnt fit to play reserves but may be fit to face chelsea
yet amoebi is fit to play reserves but isnt against chelsea?
sounds about right
-
i guess im alone in thinking it was a canny read then eh
-
i know he is hated on here, and pretty much everywhere if we're honest, but i thought that was a good read
-
a good read that actually
and the 'american interest' is also intersting

"At this stage I have not even discussed with Michael as to whether he will be back for us on Sunday.
"He is 50-50, but he will not return until, in my opinion, he is in pristine condition.
"And he has had a slight groin strain which he picked up in shooting practice at the end of last week.
"His groin is a bit sore, but this is what happens when players have been out for a long time in as much as they pick up niggles in other parts of their body.

im all for keeping him for next season as well.
as you say, the season is over
-
according to glenn on ssn
-
we're at home though
-
i think his head went down when we signed duff, effectively replacing him, actually.
maybe he is huffy.
but i would be fucked off too.

Is there any credability to this story??
hard to tell. The guy who wrote it - Chris Bascombe, is pretty close to Liverpool, although not as close as he used to be I don't think. He actually hates Houllier with a passion (cos Houllier wouldn't put up with him at the end of his time here), so I'm amazed he's managed to write something about him without turning it into a slag fest.
Bascombe gets a little more right than your average journo, but he's also as full of s*** as most of them Also, I really wouldn't have a clue how he'd know what Houllier's intentions are, being as I kinda doubt they speak to each other
surely he will still have contacts who know houillier though?
maybe he is still mates with cock nose thompson or someone?
who knows.
here's hoping though

Agreed. I think most managers with ambition and belief in their ability would snatch this job. The prize for succeeding is massive and they all know it.
Couldn't agree more, Shepherd did unbelievably well to get Souness then Roeder from all the ambitious and confident managers from the list who were willing to snatch the job
again macbeth, i think this was due to timing.
im pretty sure if we had sacked bobby when we should have, i.e end of season when liverpool did houillier in, we would never have ended up with souness.

according to glenn, we are to expect a 'eurpoean feel' to our recruitment team in the near future.

what a little prick if true.
cant say i would be too sad to see him go like.
it still takes the piss that he is going to let us pay him through one injury after another, and then as soon as he looks to be sorted, ask for a transfer.
i didnt think he looked interested yesterday
