sack him.
everybody is fucking sick of his shite, players included probably.
sad thing is, im pretty much hoping we lose the last few games so that things come to a head, souness style and we have no choice but to let him go.
-
aye, he's away i reckon
-
its in the notw, the times and the express ( i think), just been on ssn.
all papers have claimed he would be reluctant to leave as he 'owes nufc'
-
Newcastle probably does have the potential he mentions, the only trouble is that the club is not in a position to realise that potential.
or in a position, at board level, to exploit it.
-
personally, i would love him here as gaffer.
shows how far we have fallen as on the day we sacked bobby, it was widely reported on sky etc that houillier would come in (as caretaker i think), and i was gutted back then.

dawson is shite. spuds need rid of him, i have never seen a centre half look so lost (apart from some of the shite we have had) as he did at sjp this year. they should have fucked him off when they did davenport, another pile.
same goes for robinson. this fat fucker is awful. drops clangers left, right and centre. couldnt save up.
i may be alone here but i dont rate lennon to highly either. his jazz hands are funny to watch but i dont realy see him do anything great, he seems to lack end product.
having said that he is very very young and games like west ham this season make me think he will def improve.
jenas isnt good enough and as someone has already said their strikers are not clinical enough.
oh, thay lee young whatever is shite as well.
apart from that though, theyre alreet!
still better than us like!

didnt oliver mention this in the chron yesterday? saying we should expect an erikson rumour as tord grip was at the game but its 100 per cent not going to happen?
(someone may have already written this but i cant be arsed reading 5 pages)
needless to say sven would be an absoloutely massive improvement on what we have

Good point Lovejoy. After the top four where's next on the list?
With the right backing he could make us part of a big five at the very least. The guy is a genious. I think he'll go to Madrid if Capello fails to win the league though, or possibly AC Milan, who will sack Ancelotti when they lose tonight.
we can dream though eh!
-
seriously though lads, if he ants to stay in england, where does he go exactly?
none of the top 4 need gaffers, so unless maclaren gets the boot, then we are his best option i reckon!
still cant see him ending up anywhere other than madrid or barca though, but hey, if he likes cold, wet england, the toons the place!

Zidane had the vision and sense of occasion, Ronaldo the striker was awesome in his prime, as was Shearer, while Ronaldinho is a bag of tricks, but for sheer panache, Ronaldo beats them hands down. Given his age and position, he is the best player I've seen in my lifetime, and tonight's performance just confirms this. He is unplayable and to think he's only 21 is scary. Awesome player and I for one am glad he's playing in our league.
agreed, he´s relaxed, and plays with a smile on his face, and is more effective on the big stage than ronaldinho.
awesome

Old news - has been denied.
has it
aye, by the chron
-
as htt says, he is the best defender on the books at man utd.
-
i think he will (if good enough) come in as cover for teh new left back next season.
cant see baba or olly surviving.
-
i would take sam, he is different class to what we have and would transform our coaching/scouting methods etc
cant see it though
-
houillier??
having said that, the journal hints that roeder may be off in summer anyway unless 'results dramatically improve'

well done glenn

in fact, that's precisely why Parker, Duff and Owen joined us imo. they were earning big bucks at Chelsea and Madrid, sums that wouldn't or couldn't be matched by Spurs and Liverpool. tbh Spurs probably needed Duff more than we did, one would think the player and club would be a good match while we had more pressing needs than LW. yet Duff came to us so call me skeptical but it can't be for footballing reasons.
Or he could of just wanted to play for Newcastle. It's not that hard to believe to be honest.
You're right I believe, Spurs' need for Duff was greater than yours. It's a fact that Newcastle offered both Parker and Duff more in wages than Spurs were prepared to offer. In Duff's case, there was also a bigger signing on fee and Duff's agent (Pat Devlin) has his boy employed at SJP. All those things contributed to DD signing for Newcastle (so I was told at the time).
Or he could of just wanted to play for Newcastle. It's not that hard to believe to be honest.
May have been that as well. I've no complaints that he did, it's a short career, he does what he thinks is best for him. I'm sure Spurs will get the right person for the LW spot in time.
i think duff would suit you down to the ground!
i hope jol comes back with his speculated £7m bid

Scouting network needs rebuildingMar 25 2007
By The Sunday Sun
Glenn Roeder last night vowed to rebuild a Newcastle scouting network he claims is all but non-existent . . .
In order to identify transfer targets worthy of his quest for success at St James's Park.
While Roeder describes his summer player search as his biggest challenge as United boss, his first - and biggest - signing of the summer may perform off the pitch.
"We haven't got the recruitment personnel - ie the scouting network - we need, and we're working on that," Roeder revealed.
"We've got one full-time scout. Frank Arnesen, at Academy level at Chelsea, has got more than 20 full-time scouts all around the world looking for young talent under 21.

"The chairman is trying to help me and we've highlighted someone we want to employ.
"We are trying to persuade him to leave his current club to come to Newcastle, and he would help me greatly.
"We would be employing his address book. He has got contacts, and we haven't."

Toon join Rat raceMar 25 2007
By Neil Farrington, The Sunday Sun
Newcastle are eyeing boys from Brazil - and hunting a Rat - as they draw up their summer spending plans.
United boss Glenn Roeder has revealed the Magpies scouted players from SIX countries on international duty yesterday.
And Brazil were among them.
While Roeder watched Portugal play Belgium, Newcastle were also watching would-be buys in action for Holland, Romania, Chile and Brazil.
And Romanian left-back Razvan Rat has emerged as a potential United target.

Roeder went to Lisbon after telling the Sunday Sun that he has an interest in players on both sides.
But he also revealed: "We're also out to see Holland and Romania. There are targets in those two teams.
"And (chief scout) David Mills is off to see Brazil and Chile. There are one or two targets in those two teams."
Roeder took in the Portugal game having already had midfielder Joao Moutinho, wingers Nani and Simao and defender Marco Caneira watched in Sporting Lisbon's defeat of Porto last Saturday.
Newcastle scouts have been busy in Portugal for weeks, watching Benfica's right-back Nelson and their Brazilian centre-back Luisao several times.
United's interest in the Holland side was focused on left-back Urby Emanuelson and strikers Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Ryan Babel - all confirmed Roeder targets.
But 25-year-old Rat, currently with Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, would be a cheaper left-back option.
Biggest decision of the summer

i think that was timing to be fair mick, managers dont tend to like to come during a season.
good ones anyway.
