I find it bizarre that we only want to sign players ‘who desperately want to play for Newcastle United’ yet we’re waiting a week for this lad to make his mind up.

They’ll sign a midfielder for sure. You could see last season they’d get ran all over in the middle. no way their manager doesn’t want that remedied.

The Isak thing isn’t fine with anyone though. I appreciate ‘prepared for it’ is key there though.

This stinks, all of it. From the player taking a week to decide, to the journalists spouting micro updates that contradict themselves/others. A tedious shitfest. If we sign him we’ll be back here in 2 years when he wants his next move.

Yeah, he could be on more £ down there I guess. But he was offered one year heavily incentivised here, and he’s signed the same down there.

I wonder why he didn’t take the same deal he was offered here? best for us he didn’t, but bit of a strange one that.

I do think it’ll get interesting next week when he’s back with the squad. if he turns up of course.
