Llambias is claiming that we need sponsorship to buy players, we dont. You've said yourself that we'll still be spending the Carroll money over the next couple of seasons.

Profit is profit, no matter where it comes from and I wouldn't be surprised if Ashley has taken money out of the club.

When? The accounts which will cover the Carroll sale have not been published.

    St James' Park

I don't see anything to suggest that at all.

So we don't need £8 million.

So basically, £35 million get's you nothing as even taking the Carroll fee away from our transfers we've spent peanuts.

£35 million didn't do much of that.

Why would it be excellent if we get £8 million?

Because Sports Direct will pay what they have paid for the last couple of years, nowt.

Nothing, it'll bring in nothing at all.

Wouldn't give a flying crap. They have renamed so many stadiums so many times in Australia everyone in the public just refers to them by the original name anyway and the extra TV exposure for the brand still makes the brand money. It is an inevitable way of life in the modern sporting world. Who says we won't receive money from this. Has Llambis said we will be providing this service free of charge. If the stadium naming rights still haven't bee sold by this time next year and the books come out and show the club aren't charging Sports Direct sure be upset but if he has sold the brand to somebody else or is charging himself then I really don't see a problem with this. I'll spell it out for you, we've been advertising his shitty empire for years and our income from it so far is £0. During that time we've actually paid £40,000 for the pleasure of shitifying the ground.

Why should anybody be p*ssed off at another company buying the stadium naming rights? It has proved successful for both clubs and sponsor everywhere else. Nobody has bought it so your idea is flawed from the start.

Joey Barton does, he was a club employee who broke the law and didn't have his contract terminated.

Put that on it. I doubt you'd get into the ground with that on.

We should litter the city with 'em. Paint it on the road outside the f***ing stadium if we have to. I think a large scale t-shirt campaign would be a good thing, if someone were willing and able to sell them cheap enough. Which company is going to be wanting its potential customers wearing a "Your brand is s***" t-shirt? http://i42.tinypic.com/25hpqib.png Would be worth every penny. I think incorporating a Kitbag ad is a good idea too. Like someone said, I fear that would give him some satisfaction because his name is being put out there even more. Something like Sports Direct with a big cross through then KITBAG.COM in bigger writing would be more appropriate. Star out some of the shitty brand name then.

I think you'll find the bit in bold isn't true. Isn't true in the eyes of whom? The number of convictions in relation to Joey Barton's crime has nothing to do with the case against Nile Ranger. Ranger's multiple criminal offences (if convicted) in addition to indiscretions that compromise his ability to fulfill his contractual obligations make a very strong case for dismissal. I meant that the number involved is relevant and will be taken into consideration when sentence is passed because it's seen as being more serious than a one on one.
