Yesterday’s game highlights that our central midfield needs a lot of work on it. They offered no protection to the defence and did nothing to help the front two. Shola wouldn't have made the slightest difference.

Pardew should shut his mouth because he's creating a problem. For the last couple of weeks people have been banging on about how Ranger is always late for training and is shit when he does turn, this was because of comments from Pardew. Pardew has now confirmed that he's not always late and is OK in training but he (Pardew) wants more. When Pardew came here Ranger was a promising player who was capable of coming off the bench and changing games. Now, or at least for the last two games he's become totally ineffective and that has happened while players who have made no impact have moved ahead of him. Pardew has the same man-management style of Souness when complaining about James Milner who was playing well at the time. The manager is the second coming of Souness, he’s clueless.

The 9 points from those games are vital but let's not forget that one of the 3 clubs have just sacked their manager for his recent results and the other 2 teams are as bad as a lot of the teams we were playing last season.

Agreed, our manager has no responsibility for our results or performance.

We played a team today who are in the 4th division for a reason, they're not very good. We have a squad of players and didn't use them to our advantage, we should have had enough strength in depth.
