He'll be OK when he comes back and has had a few games. He just needs to get fit and get over the mental side of his injury.
-
Hughton saying that Carroll has been a bit below par is not potentially a disciplinary matter, Hughton never talked about anything regarding the players and non playing issues as far as I can remember.
-
Reverse psychology doesn't change a thing.
-
He was also carrying an injury.
-
He's a driving instructor so you’re close.

Spurs were offside 5 times which is the same as when we played Fulham, Spurs attacked a lot more than Fulham and had roughly 10% more posession so you would expect them to be in our half more. I can't find anything for the Man City game, Liverpool were offside 3 times when we beat them.

Taylor is too rash and the defence doesn't hold its position because he's erratic. He doesn't even do the basics like looking along the line so see where the others are and the off-side which was working well seems to now be history. People mentioned that our defence played a high line earlier in the season but it was effective because we regularly stepped out to play the off-side. Taylor seems to be in la-la land as far as his fellow defenders go.
-
That's your opinion and you're entitled to it, I disagree.
-
Coloccini and Williamson both have weaknesses but they complement each other, Taylor thinks he is the defence and I don’t feel comfortable with him.
-
It doesn't matter how good an individual is if the defence doesn't perform with them in it. I've said myself that Taylor isn't as bad as some people say, having said that. He doesn't fit into the defence as well as Williamson does, or at least hasn't so far. He's been here since the dawn of time and has never looked part of a comfortable defence. Until Coloccini and Williamson were suspended our defence looked functional and played as a unit.

If Hughton thought that he was a problem then why offer him a 5 year contract?
-
Go on then, I'll bite if nobody else will. That would probably be the worst of the scenarios mentioned so far.
-
They probably don't check twitter for team news, amateurs.

Pardew said he'd seen us play, rumours are that he was lined up a month before he came so I guess if the rumours are true then he's seen something of the players and he also said he'd watched a load of DVD's. He trains the players everyday and has picked 3 teams, if he needs to ring Hughton who wasn't good enough then he's in trouble.
-
He's not going to get the best out of Williamson on the bench.
-
He had 2 class players on his hands and didn't recognise it, I don't see how that is harsh at all. Teves was hardly unknown when he was brought over to this country.
-
He's clearly a bastard doing that.
-
Pardew couldn't get the best out of Teves and Mascherano, he's got no chance with Smith and Perch.
-
Like every manager he should be judged on every game. If he plays a weakened team and wins he'll be judged on it in the same was as if he plays a strong team that loses he'll be judged on that. You can't pick and choose which matches are the ones to form an opinion of him, that's the sort of stuff people used to defend Souness when he was here.
-
He would have to meet them all because without doing so he wouldn't know what the other 5% were like.
-
Do you really think so? Guthrie comes from Shrewsbury, he isn't scouse. The very next post:

I can't for the life of me work out what he's doing at this club. I've just had a look through his managerial record again to see if I have missed anything, trying to find a straw to clutch to and other than his job at Reading and Southampton in the lower divisions, he's been s***. His win percentage record at Southampton is his best at any club and it's worse than the record Hughton had while here. His best season in the top flight was 9th with West Ham and he followed that season up with the worst run of results that West Ham had in 70 years and they were in a relegation position when he left and only climbed out once he’d gone. He went to Charlton who were in a relegation position when he arrived and they finished in the same position.
