Stupid bastards should have paid a club record for an injury prone forward who becomes our best paid spectator, both during his injuries and after. We could have also gone up to Scotland to see if Rangers had any free transfers they'd like to let go for £8 million a few short months later. We could even have spent £9 million on a Spanish winger only to have the manager come out later and say that he'd thought we'd got him for something like £1.5 million. No we wouldn't do that again, we've already done it and that's part of the reason we're now struggling to win games.

No, Allardyce would have reversed his trend while here and brought in some good players, he would have also finally got the players fit enough to last 90 minutes (argue with Duff, not me) and he would have given players the confidence they didn't have under him before he was sacked. On top of that he would have actually reversed his previous decisions and tried to win games.

Jesus wept, I'm not speculating who we did or did not try to bring in during the transfer window. Keegan hasn't seen his team lose against anybody yet, he's seen an Allardyce team lose.

Speculation is pointless, it's not speculation that we were shite under Allardyce and the players had no confidence.

I didn't say that but I wouldn't have bet against it, we were shite under him and Keegan has come in with a run of games against teams mainly at the top, we had no confidence under Allardyce and I think that would only have got worse.

We'll never know what would have happened but Allardyce doesn't have a good record of signings while here and we were shite under him so we could easily have been where we are now.

I'm not speculating, what's the point? I also don't know how many players we tried for other than those that have been mentioned.

Allardyce got 4 point from an easier run of games. I thought Allardyce would have done better in a lot of games than he actually did so what either of us would have expected to happen under him goes out of the window as far as I'm concerned.

Do you know that we only tried for 3? I'm not happy that we left the squad as it was but I'm not going to blame anybody at the club because Woodgate signed for Spurs or that Derby didn't take the money on offer. The timing of Allardyce getting sacked was poor and I'll blame them for that.
