  1. What happened to predicted line ups? Seems these days people just type the team that they would play, which is pointless. I have no problem with the 433 but as long as we put someone more creative in the mix and move Zoggy further up. Team i'd like: Given Beye Cacapa Rozehnal Enrique Geremi Smith Emre Martins Viduka N'Zogbia Don't like leaving out Milner but he would be the weakest link, unless he could play in the middle. However, i expect unchanged team again. score: 1-1
  2. I've said it before and ill say it again Barton is the key. His creativity, productivity AND workrate will benefit the team massively. Imagine this: Given Beye Rozehnal Taylor Enrique Butt Geremi Barton Martins Viduka N'Zogbia Very good side IMO, obviously some will disagree with certain areas but you get the picture.
  3. My team would be : Given Beye Rozehnal Taylor Enrique Butt Geremi Emre Milner Smith N'Zogbia Why? On current form i'd like to see N'Zogbia and Milner off the frontman and assuming Viduka can't make it i would put Smith in his place. Allowing Emre to return in Smiths midfield role, which also allows a little bit more creativity in midfield. Because of form, the defence picks itself. Obviously i would like to play Martins somewhere in the team but he isn't firing on all cylinders at the moments. However, i want to make it clear that i don't expect this to be our team. This is more likely: Harper Beye Cacapa Rozehnal N'Zogbia Butt Geremi Smith Martins Viduka Milner
  4. Arsenal kids could do that to most teams. Doesn't make us crap, it makes them good. Just shows how far behind we are as a club but we are improving.
  5. My first thoughts were about how happy this news would have made Fergi. I don't like anything that makes him happy.
  6. I think Mourinho is an absolute genius. Anyone who believes Mourinho to be arrogant is shortsighted, the guy is an amazing motivater and fantastic (yet slighty annoying) character. As for Chelsea, they have made their biggest mistake in getting rid of Mourinho. There's only a few blokes in world football who can replace him. Fergi must be having a right laugh at this.
  7. This will be the team: Given Beye Rozehnal Cacapa Zoggy Faye Geremi Smith Martins Ameobi Milner
  8.  Owen didn't perform because he couldn't. I give him a 4 because of his absence in the game butt was awful when he was in the game.
  9. I can barely type i'm that upset at this performance. We were boring and predictable throughout. Harper-6 Did ok, no chance with goal. Taylor-5.5 Raped down the left and provided no attacking support. Rozehnal-6 Should have scored, struggled to deal with Howards aerial threat. Cacapa-6.5 Did do anything wrong, looked good on the ball. N'Zogbia-5.5 Out of position he failed to give us enough attacking threat, certainly not to blame. Smith- 5 Gave us no protection or creativity. Butt-5 Worst performer on the pitch. He could barely stay on his feet let alone retain the ball. Geremi-6.5 Poor set-pieces but kept the ball better than the rest. Milner-6.5 Looked the only player anywhere near likely to hurting derby. Owen-4 Invisible without creativity. Ameobi-5 Terrible footballer. Subs: Faye-7 looked solid but gave us nothing in the part of the pitch where we need something. Martins-7 Our only threat should have started. Beye- Looked ok.
  10. Thats stupid, they still dont have as good a squad as Man Utd and Chelsea. A don't think they will win the title TBH.
  11. Sounds like Gillespie as usual. That lads a funny un.
  12. Taylor is one our best young talents and indeed one of englands, it would be sad to see him go.
  13. Not if he's injured constantly.
  14. Given Richards Lescott Woodgate Barry Bentley Arteta Barton N'Zogbia Berbatov Owen
  15. N'Zogbia was shite because of bad man management from Roeder, its as clear as day. Believe it or not that IS an excuse for poor form. Allardyce, someone renound for his man management skills has come in and made all the difference, simple really.
  16. To add. The reason why foerign players are cheaper is because our clubs have so much money. It's almost impossible to buy good players from one prem team to another. Simply because the clubs don't need the money as much as they used to, therefore hang for a bigger prices. On the continent alot of clubs are quite happy taking 1m for their star players because 1m to them is BIG money.
  17. I'm infuriated by this. To suggest that the England national team's shitness since McClaren took over is to do with the number foreign players in our league is ridiculas. The england national team has a plethora of talent and almost matches any team on the national stage in terms of quality and depth of quality. The reason that england aren't successfull is because we hire poor managers and we hire these managers because they are english. Foreign managers are lightyears ahead of ours.
  18. I care about Newcastle first and foremost because England i feel is more like "southern england". Everything involving england is influenced by the cockney clubs (including man utd). They also have a terrible manager and blame poor results on their being too many foreign players in the league, which is the stupidest thing i've ever heard.
  19. Good news and another good piece of management.
  20. Alan O'Brien would be the best if he scored 20 goals a season and got 25 assists on top I think you know what i mean. If Lennon fullfilled his potential by showing more productivity he would be more recognised. I think he will improve in the future.
  21. Lennon would be the best if he produced more goals and assists. For Bentley is the pick of the bunch because of his ability.
  22. I do...I like Milner but it boils my piss when people are so blind just because they are NUFC players and think Milner is better than ever other young player in the same position on the field who play for other teams... I also think one of Milner's cons is his lack of speed and that is bad for a winger not to have... I agree Milner isn't "the best" young player around and i agree the reason is because he doesn't possess as much pace as Young, SWP etc etc. However, i believe that the fact Milner has made as (at the very least) a good winger proves the fact that he is most definately as gifted as some of those. What Milner doesn't give you in breathtaking pace he makes up for in productivity. At Villa he completed more crosses than any other prem player and last season for us he was one of the main reasons we didn't get relegated. A team needs variety, we can look elsewhere for pace.
