There's no way he plays tommorow IMO. UEFA won't have it.
  2. First Post back after ban. Would like to apologise to @aa5773for my posts on Sunday afternoon. It was unprovoked and intolerant of me. As for the accusations of being racist and/or Islamophobic, i certainly refute that, I have a dislike of all religions and their affect on society, however in most cases I manage to separate religion from religious people, of whom I have no general hatred towards. On this occasion I let myself down and made someone feel unwelcome, which isn't right. As far as the person who wanted me to be banned for life for this forum.. I've been on here 19 years and this is the first time I've been in trouble, I'd like think I've contributed way more good than bad. What happened to hearing someone out, giving people second chances, or even asking why I was speaking out of character? No it must be an absolute punishment? how very religious. He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
  3. Bowen and Paqueta currently playing in wide positions. Then it's whether you want to change formation or move Paqueta in the middle which hadn't worked.
  4. Aye fair point. The rest still stands.

No issue with Saudis as a people, not their fault where they were born.
  6. I honestly can't fathom why anyone would go looking for people talking shit about their own club. All clubs hate all other clubs and they will use whatever flimsy reason to facilitate their hatred.
  7. Reminder that you need on average to get 71 points for top 4, that's 1.86 points per game, we are currently on 1.77 but have played: Man City away- toughest fixture in the league... As well as Liverpool (h), Brighton (a) and Villa (h), which you would expect other sides around us to struggle with. I'd say we are very much where we should be, you could argue its been better than expected given the tough start. Also, early indications are that we are likely to get a fairly healthy goal difference, which might be as good as an extra point come week 38. Can someone confirm that top 5 is CL? I can't remember what the crack is with that.
  8. Missing their best players and no plan B once the first goal went in, pretty much explains their performance. They are comfortably the most boring side in the league, feel like they are constantly finishing 13th or something. Not even shite enough to be in a relegation battle.

    Fabian Schär

He was getting so bored yesterday that he kept dribbling into midfield and attack. Poor sod needs a challenge. Also something worth noting.... our right wing benefits from Schar being LCB as he has a better angle for his diagonals. Such a small detail but it's why we were so effective yesterday.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Pedro Neto is a player I'd be looking at. Edit: He's 23, plenty of PL experience and really starting to look a player. Has shades of Mahrez to his game. Eddie would work wonders.

    Lewis Hall

If Isak struggled with being "Eddie fit", then I think it's fair to assume a young lad who had no pre season will have even more work to do. Every day on the training ground he's becoming a better player, of that you can be assured.

    Looks genuinely emotional.

    Anthony Gordon

Makes Frank Lampard look like a complete knacker. Everton were heading down with this lad on the bench.

    Anthony Gordon

About 5 seconds before Longstaff won that free kick, which he took short, Gordon stopped the ball dead from a long range switch pass. Was beautiful, Brunoesque. Edit: There's nothing quite like someone controlling the ball from a long range pass. Wouldn't mind seeing it again.
  15. I think Howe is a much more rounded manager than Keegan but in fairness to Keegan he lived in a different era. Keegan was old school, put together an 11 like Fergie, gave them motivation and let them crack on. I suspect Howe would make Keegan look rather silly when it came to a conversation on tactics, psychology, diet, patterns of play etc, but then he would make quite a lot of current managers look silly in that regard.

    Sven Botman

Surviving and thriving during a Sven Botman injury will really be an astonishing achievement.

    Anthony Gordon

I dunno. He's not got the Claire Balding hair anymore.

    Anthony Gordon

I love the fact that I used to hate him and now I love him. I even think he's got better looking since joining us.
  19. Don't care if its been posted. The best thing I've seen today, and we stuffed Palace.
  20. Murphy was doing flicks and tricks in the second half.... someone needs to seriously check Howe isn't a witch doctor.
  21. Isak is just back from injury and Almiron will be tactical, especially since we will need him for a few games in a row.
