    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Ive no doubt that the club have a couple of young attacking players lined up. Players not in the 30m Lewis Hall bracket but also with more potential than Minteh and Kuol. Probably South American. I don't really agree that we should follow the Brighton model, that suggests scouting unknowns and flipping them for profit. We do need to be dipping into that box though because there is alot of value in it. I'd also like us to keep an eye on experienced players. It's not lost on me that our success has been grounded largely on the experience of the likes Burn, Trippier, Schar, Wilson etc. For example, I see no issue on signing a CB who is say 28, you will still get a strong 5 years, provided they are the right character.

I'd love us to do what Schalke did and make their tunnel design like a mine. It fit with their heritage and I think it fits with ours.

Aye fair enough, just seen what Spurs did with their away dressing room.

Whats equally as crucial, is that they upgrade the actual facilities of the stadium. They players home and away need new dressing rooms, warm up areas. It's not fit for purpose, that means a remodelling of that whole area. The tunnel area needs expanding too. On the other hand, we don't have to go down that route, but it's what modern stadiums have.
  5. No it's not. It was just my way of saying I like West Ham as a club. Christ.
  6. I think West Ham are my favourite non Newcastle PL club. I don't mind Moyes, despite his limitations. I can't imagine being a West Ham and having to listen to the fans of other London clubs going on. West Ham feel like an authentic London club. There fans are radgies and that's normally the sign of a proper club in my book. Was also rooting for them in the Conference last year. So, in summary, I hope we fuck them up the arse today.
  7. Class and not even the best thing to happen this week.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Don't think for one second we need another LB Burn is 1st choice, then Targett and Lewis Hall is the guy we plan on training for that position. It would be nice to go and sign a world class LB but signing Hall basically got rid of that. I'd be looking at a CB who can play both sides as a priority, then look for a right winger of extreme quality. Our next attacking signing should be a star, like Isak, Tonali level.

Bowen is EXACTLY in line with our recent purchases. He's at a good age/experience, his wages won't be astronomical either.

    Joe Willock

Gonna be mint when we have mentally fresh players in the second half of the season Willock, Joelinton, Tonali, Livramento, Isak/Wilson, Barnes (depending on how things pan out). I've said before that sometimes I feel injuries can be a minor blessing long term. Look at Barnes, Gordon has benefitted (and therefore the team) from Barnes injury. If history is anything to go by, Barnes will be a better player for it in the new year and might give us a crucial boost. Could have done with him on Sunday mind. The likes of Joelinton fighting their way back into the team will only provide an energy boost when someone like Anderson is ready for a rest. Look at the positives not the negatives, I think is my point.
  11. West Hams potential front six. Alvarez Ward-Prowse Soucek Bowen Paqueta Kudus Not to be sniffed at. We will have to be at our best IMO.
  12. Love finding other clubs content that is complimentary of us and generally just sound. Enjoy.

    Kevin Keegan

I think coverage is outdated in general.... sitting a studio with a 60 year old former player/failed manager whinging on. Look at Carra and Micah going into the box and having a bit craic with Shearer before the game. Just something a bit different, a bit lighthearted. Remember when carra and neville did that at sjp, went and had a pint with the fans. That's the stuff we want to see. Even get out into the town. Amazing what you will learn. In essence, stop sitting on ya arse and yapping on about clubs you have very little insight on. Of course alot of pundits can't do this because they have alienated themselves with every fan base in the country.

I lot of the problem comes from the propagation that the women's game is equally as good as the men's. You also had Sue Whatsherface saying that the mens game should subsidise the women's game the other week, which apart from being nonsensical, stokes the sort of chauvinist rhetoric that right wing types love to pounce on. It's interesting that sky and Bt etc do a good job of hiring female presenters, Kate Abdo, Laura Woods etc but struggle when it comes to finding intelligent and interesting pundits (both male and female). When you see Merson, Morrison and Agbonlahor, you realise it isn't a women problem it's a competency problem and of course the pool of competent women in this field is much smaller than competent men, simply because there are less women involved in the game in general If it were me, I'd be trying to combine the presenting skills of Laura Woods, with the ex footballer view from Ally Mcoist and stick Allcott in there for a smart fan viewpoint. Do that and your onto a winner.

I agree with him, most of the women pundits aren't qualified whatsoever to talk about football at the highest level. However, a lot of the male pundits they have are also unqualified, largely because they are thick as shite.

    Sandro Tonali

The most significant thing I saw Tonali do?.... He was barking orders to teammates. Its massively significant that he now feels settled enough to do that IMO. That's the player we signed. I'm sure it's a language + settling thing. Easy to forget that he's a "new boy".

    Sean Longstaff

    Future club captain?

    Jamaal Lascelles

Another player who has went from being decent to being shit to being good over the last 5 years. Almost like something significant happened in his career in between. Longstaff Miggy Schar Were all decent under Rafa, at least to an extent.
  19. Joelinton for Gordon. Anderson for Tonali. Isak for Wilson.
  20. Where is the razor and ando commentary? Then I need match cam. Jizz all over.

    Sandro Tonali

Much better. Did all the dirty stuff. Still got way more to come.
  22. Was like a god on the pitch.
  23. Schar wheeling away will live with me until i die.

    Jamaal Lascelles

Hands up... I'd written him off.
  25. Phillip Al Schar...... That was the feeling.
