  1. Was surprised by how mature he is. Had him down as a bit of a Grealish thicko.
  2. On reflection, our biggest issue was that we had noone who was prepared to run at the opposition. We were actually very well drilled in passing and moving, often finding little pockets on the flanks. Deliveries were fine but in a congested box the defenders always have the advantage. BTW, not enough credit is given to Bournemouth, they defended brilliantly and effectively made us run out of ideas. You stick ASM or Anderson who's got a bit of skill and they see us over the line in this game. Going forward these are the sort of players we need to target. Quick skillfully players who can unlock a door. No good just passing it around the opposition box.
  3. I rejoice that we have a manager who is critical of a 1-1 home draw, in a game where we dominated.
  4. Funny so did I. I think he's the new whipping boy.
  5. Frustrating as fuck. Was getting more and more annoyed while watching. Was particularly pissed off when we seemed to slow the pace of the game via our own accord. Felt the game needed a change in formation to give us something different, Botman and a back 3 perhaps. I knew the game was done when Murphy came on and Bruno went off. Our lack of depth in attacking areas is shocking but that will take time. Isak might as well have gone for a kip. I think now people might see what Chris Wood was dealing with. We offer no support to our front men.
  6. No more moans and groans than at any other ground when their side has been frustrated but crack on bashing our own fans.
  7. Still nice to be dealing with the issue of dominating without getting the goal, as opposed to getting absolutely arse raped each week. This is where Eddie earns his money. What change can he make to find spaces.
  8. I'm glad you posted this. It's pretty much how I feel. It's bizarre because on the one hand N-O is my favourite place and somewhere which I learn so much but on the other hand it's lefty looney city centre. Honestly the far left is the lesser of the two evils compared to the racist bulldogs on the right but never a day shall pass when someone on the left can't tell you where you are going wrong in life, or teach you some morals or remind you of who are the real victims in society. I learned to look at the political sphere through the lense of ying and yang or order and chaos if you will. Without the morons on the far left holding a mirror up, ultimately the goones on the right get a free pass to bully and suppress people. On the other hand, without those on the right, we have no tradition, no discipline, no order. Of course this is incredibly generalised but its kind of my mantra and why I steer myself through the middle.
  9. Amazed at how much we actually miss him. So much more quality with him rather than Willock or Longstaff, even if Shelvey is just an "option", he's a bloody good one.
  10. Look very much like us under Bruce.
  11. Unless you are left wing, anti monarchist, you have no chance on here, on this topic particularly.
  12. Villa are awful. Even when they go forward they look disjointed.
  13. No I wouldn't have Union Jack's, sadly those have been stolen by right wing morons.
  14. OK Hovagod. I won't use Internet terms. What terms shall I use? Ones that allow a certain person, with a certain point, get away with talking shite, without being offended?
  15. Totally understand Wor Flags reluctance to involve anything to do with the Queen. You will just get shite whatever you do.
  16. Took the kids for a walk at sycamore gap, followed by calling at the pub for a packet of crisps and a can of pop. Basically page 1 of the Northumbrians "what to do if the footies not on" handbook.
  17. Found one. I definitely think if you can't have a conversation about the royal family without mentioning something that happened a long time ago, you are almost certainly virtue signalling. The funny thing about history is that good AND bad things happened. It's a hard concept to grasp.
  18. "Grim" and "humiliating" celebrating our greatest ever monarch. I'm not even a monarchist but the anti-monarchy tripe over the last few days, is even worse than the pro-monarchist sycophantic rhetoric. Is no-one else on this forum middle of road? Happy enough to doff the cap to the old bird, whilst also understanding that an old school monarchy has no place in the modern world? I'm sure something with a nice balance could be done at SJP that's respectful without being over the top. I'm sure the far left morons will look at this as some sort of nod towards human rights abuses of the British Empire. Can't have anything normal these days without the virtue signalling brigade rock up to tell you what you didn't know about British history.
  19. Some things aren't a mental health issue. Some things are just being not a nice person.
