Originally he organised the mess, now it's an organised mess. Ultimately he's just not a good manager, despite doing a decent job at times. The options are grim.

What are you even on about? None of those things will happen. They will gibe the job to Lee Carsley or some knacker.

We allowed to criticise this feckless twat yet? Sleep walking to a world cup failure.

    Alexander Isak

Hopefully whatever he has felt is minor and he has pulled himself out of the squad to protect himself for our fixtures. Wilson will almost certainly start vs Fulham.
  5. Just wanted to check @tomlynnherringtonyou aren't this Tom lynn are you: https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/2017/10/31/16580318/fan-letters-the-local-press-arent-fighting-the-corner-of-the-sunderland-fans-says-tom-lynn Sunderland fan who writes for Roker report?
  6. We haven't got defensive problems though. Our defence has been pretty excellent since around January and Schar has been part of that.
  7. Fom what ive seen, there are very few deficiencies in Botmans game, where as I've seen Burn get caught out on a few occasions. Again, this isn't saying I don't like Burn because I do, I just can't fathom why anyone would think Burns performances have been better than Botmans. To be honest, defence is the least of our problems. Lascelles has even looked ok in our side.
  8. Botman is better than Burn and his performances have been better than Burn. I like Dan Burn, he's a good defender and he's really made a difference to us but to suggest he's in the side on merit is bollocks IMO. He's in the side for one reason and that's because Botman is 22 and Howe wants to ease him in, playing him here and there, giving him tasters until he's ready or we have no choice but to play him. I'm not saying I agree with Howe on this, I just think that's what he is doing. When the circumstances are right Botman will be in the side for an extended period and he won't be coming back out.
  9. Even though Joelinton isnt a 6, I would like to see this tried: Pope Schar Botman Burn Trippier Bruno Joelinton Targett Isak Wilson ASM
  10. There was a spell around Brentford away last year where I thought we finally were seeing the best of him. Assists and goals. He's been poor so far this season. He's lucky that Murphy and Ritchie are so shit because he's the next on the list to leave. This is the last opportunity to convince Howe he can be starter and he's flat lining.
  11. Light years from this time last season. Owners going above and beyond to communicate with the fans. A nice relaxed attitude too. No calm, no panic, just a message of let's keep improving on and off the pitch. Which they continue to do. Magic stuff.
  12. That AM kit is horrendous. Also, watching this just reminds me that we have Trippier.
  13. If ASM isn't back: Pope Trippier Schar Botman Targett Longstaff Bruno Joelinton Miggy Wilson Isak

Villa yes, but have a shite manager. Everton haven't the quality. It's actually quite weird that none of the expected 7th-10th sides are actually up there (I didn't have Brighton top half). Palace, West Ham, Wolves and Leicester all under performing the latter two are terminal IMO and won't make top half this season. We've actually done OK to sit 10th while not having picked up the points we deserve.
  15. Maupay is a PL striker, which is what Everton need while DCL is away doing his fashion shoots. I think sometimes there's an expectation that shite clubs can just sign quality players and everything will be OK. Sometimes they just need some solid PL players. We did it with Burn and Targett, even Wood to a lesser extent.

When you look at the table, there are effectively 3 sides above us at the moment, who we wouldn't expect or want. Brighton- We should expect to see a drop off in from after losing Potter, to what extent will depend on their next manager. Fulham- Have had some great performances and results but I'd be surprised if even their fans think they will finish in the top 10 come May. Brentford- 1 point above us at present. Apparently Leicester are sniffing for Thomas Frank. You'd like to think we will go above them. In short we are in an ok position but some form now would be great.
  17. I don't think he's in trouble but he has alot of work to do, to re create a side from scratch effectively.

Nailed it for me. We have done well to get to this point but just need to kick start our attack. January will be very interesting.

We are currently tracking 1.14 points per game. We need around 1.5 PPG to aim for the target of 58.5 points, which is the average you need for 7th. On the positive, we have played the 2 best sides in the league and got a bonus point. On the down sides we undoubtedly dropped 2 against Bournemouth.

If we finished 7th this year, we will recruit our little arses off next summer.
  21. Let's hope you are right. I want to see Wilson and Isak on the pitch.
  22. West Ham have more options than us. I wouldn't swap starting 11s but it is close. I certainly wouldn't swap managers, clubs, stadiums or supporters though.
  23. Thank fuck we are playing a side that we can not only dominate the ball against but who will also attack us and allow us to exploit their spaces. Also International football can get in the fucking bin. We shouldn't have to wait 2 weeks for this.
  24. If I hear another commentator call him Paquetaaaaaaa, I will kick my TV in.
