I think it's commonly accepted that players are allowed to miss games if there is a chance of a transfer to another club. We could refuse and make a player play but then we couldn't expect a player we wanted to sign to do the same for us. Too much money on the line for a player to play and pick up an injury. Especially in a league Cup game. Sometimes a club won't sell until after qualifying game though.

Darlow isn't as good as Dubravka but rarely can you keep a hold of a good number 2. Darlow is pretty much standard number 2 material, excuse the pun and will ok for where we are at.

Our fans have a habit of trashing our own players. Henderson and Dubravka aren't far off each other. Henderson has a seriously questionable character and I reckon that's why we didn't take him from yous.

Yeah that's spot on. Darlow is only marginally worse than Dubravka and now is our best chance to get some money back on him. Dubravka will be spot on for Man Utd. He won't make many mistakes like De Gea did the other day but he's also not as good in general. He's well capable of pushing De Gea out of the starting 11 if he makes mistakes.

ASM is about to hit some hot form. They will do everything to stop him.... so miggy will sneak another goal.

For where we are, Darlow is just fine as a number 2. We can get our scouting team to look for young keepers. For Dubravka and Man United it makes perfect sense. Dubravka gets one last hurrah at a high level for Man United and Man United get a very good keeper, who's probably more reliable than De Gea. From out point of view, we want to get ad much back from Pope's fee as we can.
