Anyone designing a stadium needs to get it right. As good as Wembley, Spurs and the Emirates are, in terms of quality, there is a distinct lack of imagination IMO. Compare it to that birds nest stadium in China or whatever. It's like when every club in the country built a new stadium exactly the same ;Leicester, Sunderland, Boro, Southampton etc. Bloody boring.
  2. Yep and Sky seem to have a fetish for his games, which makes it all the more accessible for us. I actually think they will win today.

SJP is one of the best stadiums in the world for two reasons, firstly the size of the leazes end is unreal, even when you have seen it dozens of times and the view of the city from L7 is astonishing. Secondly, its smack bang in the centre of one of the countries iconic cultural cities and one of Europe's best cities for nightlife. The amount of people who can get shitfaced pre and post match can't be understated. It's first on everyone's away trip list. If you watch Fozcast, Ben Foster talks about not only how mint the atmosphere is in SJP but also how all the away footballers used to look forward to going out on the piss after the match. Leave SJP and we lose ALL of this, potentially. Thankfully the owners have seen sense. Hopefully the council (which should prioritise NUFC) and the club can get their heads together and come up with something for stadium expansion. I'd like to hear from an architect to see if they can think of a way around things.
  4. They aren't in good form and we are. It will be tougher than Brentford but more open than the West Ham game.
  5. Good chance we will have a bench with Bruno, ASM, Manquillo and Lascelles on Saturday. All of us would bring ASM straight in for Murphy but I'm not sure Howe will. Will be great to see him and Bruno blast Brighton in the second half.
  6. Said ages ago that the Leicester game was our only bad game under Howe because Leicester were in terrible form. We also had 3 bits of terrible refereeing in Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool games. Should have had 3 penalties IIRC. You could argue that its astonishing how badly Bruce did, given Howes results.
  7. Got myself a brazil flag for this game, taking the lad.
  8. What happened with Thiago?
  9. Notice Eddie puts Newcastle signs up in away dressing rooms. Attention to detail.

    Joelinton

Could find a dozen of those comments about him from me but in fairness I was judging him on the position he was playing in.

    Fabian Schär

If Howe can do this with Schar, fuck knows what he would have got out of Lejuene. Schar is a Rolls Royce centre half, he has no business playing in a defensive side. That's just not his game. I've said before, he'd look fine for City, Liverpool, maybe a Leicester of recent years. Not great, but decent.
  12. Watched Lampards post match with Sky and while I don't think he will make a great manager... I quite like him. He's not a gobshite, he clearly cares. Dont really understand the hatred.
  13. It's all cool bro. Good times ahead.
  14. Don't over react. I absolutely adore Eddie Howe but we need to give him a good squad to rotate players.
  15. It was an observation. He works his players hard, therefore he will need a big squad to keep performances consistent. What's the point in any opinion?
  16. He's not worth 25m but he's been worth every penny of the 25m we paid for him (provided we now stay up). In the summer, he won't be sold IMO but he will be a reliable 2nd/3rd choice for another season.
  17. He's going to need those good signings in the summer because of how many injuries and fatigue absences we are going to have. He's going to work them so hard that we will need a good squad for the second half of next season. Reckon we could see a blistering start and then a drop off after January once tiredness kicks in.
  18. Hasn't even started a game yet but he's gesturing to our right back where to run WHILE he's in possesion of the ball. We've had midfielders in the past who have failed to communicate accurately in their post match interviews.

    Joelinton

I think he's a key piece to our future too. The level he's playing at with regards to winning the ball and progressing up the pitch is worth its weight in gold.
  20. You can bet your bollocks that he won't be putting any more money into Chelsea. Chelsea have grown commercially but it remains to be seen if they have the money to bankroll themselves.
  21. When I saw his Bournemouth training videos, I was sold on him. It's the nice mix of work ethic + willingness to learn which is killer.
  22. Anything but a loss keeps us ticking over nicely. ASM and Manquillo should come in for this.
  23. Get the fuck out? March 5th? Me too, taking the bairn. Legend. Was March 5th when Robert scored that free kick against Liverpool, the one featured in goal.
  24. Spurs loss has rocked City.
