Maupay is a PL striker, which is what Everton need while DCL is away doing his fashion shoots. I think sometimes there's an expectation that shite clubs can just sign quality players and everything will be OK. Sometimes they just need some solid PL players. We did it with Burn and Targett, even Wood to a lesser extent.

When you look at the table, there are effectively 3 sides above us at the moment, who we wouldn't expect or want. Brighton- We should expect to see a drop off in from after losing Potter, to what extent will depend on their next manager. Fulham- Have had some great performances and results but I'd be surprised if even their fans think they will finish in the top 10 come May. Brentford- 1 point above us at present. Apparently Leicester are sniffing for Thomas Frank. You'd like to think we will go above them. In short we are in an ok position but some form now would be great.

I don't think he's in trouble but he has alot of work to do, to re create a side from scratch effectively.
-
Nailed it for me. We have done well to get to this point but just need to kick start our attack. January will be very interesting.
-
We are currently tracking 1.14 points per game. We need around 1.5 PPG to aim for the target of 58.5 points, which is the average you need for 7th. On the positive, we have played the 2 best sides in the league and got a bonus point. On the down sides we undoubtedly dropped 2 against Bournemouth.
-
If we finished 7th this year, we will recruit our little arses off next summer.
-
Let's hope you are right. I want to see Wilson and Isak on the pitch.
-
West Ham have more options than us. I wouldn't swap starting 11s but it is close. I certainly wouldn't swap managers, clubs, stadiums or supporters though.
-
Thank fuck we are playing a side that we can not only dominate the ball against but who will also attack us and allow us to exploit their spaces. Also International football can get in the fucking bin. We shouldn't have to wait 2 weeks for this.

If I hear another commentator call him Paquetaaaaaaa, I will kick my TV in.

Was surprised by how mature he is. Had him down as a bit of a Grealish thicko.

On reflection, our biggest issue was that we had noone who was prepared to run at the opposition. We were actually very well drilled in passing and moving, often finding little pockets on the flanks. Deliveries were fine but in a congested box the defenders always have the advantage. BTW, not enough credit is given to Bournemouth, they defended brilliantly and effectively made us run out of ideas. You stick ASM or Anderson who's got a bit of skill and they see us over the line in this game. Going forward these are the sort of players we need to target. Quick skillfully players who can unlock a door. No good just passing it around the opposition box.
-
I rejoice that we have a manager who is critical of a 1-1 home draw, in a game where we dominated.
-
Funny so did I. I think he's the new whipping boy.

Frustrating as fuck. Was getting more and more annoyed while watching. Was particularly pissed off when we seemed to slow the pace of the game via our own accord. Felt the game needed a change in formation to give us something different, Botman and a back 3 perhaps. I knew the game was done when Murphy came on and Bruno went off. Our lack of depth in attacking areas is shocking but that will take time. Isak might as well have gone for a kip. I think now people might see what Chris Wood was dealing with. We offer no support to our front men.
-
No more moans and groans than at any other ground when their side has been frustrated but crack on bashing our own fans.
-
Still nice to be dealing with the issue of dominating without getting the goal, as opposed to getting absolutely arse raped each week. This is where Eddie earns his money. What change can he make to find spaces.

Sven Rotatedman more like.

I'm glad you posted this. It's pretty much how I feel. It's bizarre because on the one hand N-O is my favourite place and somewhere which I learn so much but on the other hand it's lefty looney city centre. Honestly the far left is the lesser of the two evils compared to the racist bulldogs on the right but never a day shall pass when someone on the left can't tell you where you are going wrong in life, or teach you some morals or remind you of who are the real victims in society. I learned to look at the political sphere through the lense of ying and yang or order and chaos if you will. Without the morons on the far left holding a mirror up, ultimately the goones on the right get a free pass to bully and suppress people. On the other hand, without those on the right, we have no tradition, no discipline, no order. Of course this is incredibly generalised but its kind of my mantra and why I steer myself through the middle. -
Amazed at how much we actually miss him. So much more quality with him rather than Willock or Longstaff, even if Shelvey is just an "option", he's a bloody good one.
-
Look very much like us under Bruce.
-
Unless you are left wing, anti monarchist, you have no chance on here, on this topic particularly.
-
Villa are awful. Even when they go forward they look disjointed.
-
Reckon we will smash them.
