I'm like a junkie that's just had his first hit in a while.
-
Don't think the two are linked. Just a handy coincidence, I reckon.
-
As the Liverpool lads say, we have to get used to Rafa's politics. He seemed in good fettle by all accounts today.
-
Right, hate to be a cunt an everything but thumb heed better move quickly into the next one. No messing about. Welcome Jacob lad, if your a fan, you know the score.
-
He needs to get games, like. Barnsley was no good for him. Hopefully Bolton will use him properly and he will bang in a few goals.

I can absolutely see Rafa wanting two more wingers. Remember last year when we said that we didnt need Hanley/Clark? Or it was a waste us signing Murphy? Rafa likes a big squad, with plenty of options. It's possible that it's become a bigger priority now that Gouffran (I know, I know) isn't staying. Mind you, I'd be surprised if we spend 20m on two wide players, I thought we would make more use of the loan market.

Scargate going on, on Twitter. Not sure if the picture of Murphy on a plane is Jacob or his brother, due to a scar on the eyebrow.
-
Ok, so if his buyout is 2.6m what are they doing? Knocking them down on the price?
-
Mark Douglas just retweeted the link. It's just another non story. That was it? Jesus.

Update from Ryder coming up. I'm struggling with all the excitement.
-
Good. Hopefully he will hang around and Rafa will make use of him.
-
As is always the case at the moment... as long as Rafa is happy.
-
Actually, statistically we work on zero transfers at one time.
-
He will be ours by next week and we can move onto our next coma inducing transfer saga.
-
Rafa will be gone, therefore, relegated. I assumed that we were talking if Murphy's our last signing and Rafa is still here. Nailed on relegation if he leaves. If we are talking about a hypothetical scenario, then we will have the 3rd worst squad in the league, even with Murphy. The only reason we would probably avoid the drop is because of the managers undoubted ability to polish a turd or two.

Like I say, a Derby or whatever will see value in someone like Hanley or Diame. Relatively low wages and decent in the championship. The only way we will get rid of Riviere, Saivet and De Jong (to a lesser extent) is by farming them off to foreign clubs on loan and hoping to get a couple of million in a year's time.
-
Possibly. Although, he didn't seem to mind much in the summer we brought in McClaren. We had T.V money then and hadn't spent much in yonks. You got more for your buck 2 seasons ago too.
-
Or, he knew we would sell Wijnaldum and Sissoko, therefore wasn't too fussed about the bank balance. This summer is a different game, they actually have to spend money and not concentrate on profits.
-
Ones referring to Hanley and Murphy and the other is referring to Riviere and Saivet etc. The former will be easier to shift than the latter, since there is no market for overpaid wasters.
-
They will want more than what we offer that's for sure.
-
It will happen. Just the usual haggling from us. It's already gone from 16 to 12m and the lad obviously wants to join.
