Bobby was right to speculate and sign him because he had everything physically and technically, just not nearly enough between the ears nor the concentration span. Brambles very average games far outweighed his decent ones. His good games were very rare. Boumsong couldn't handle the pressure either. Just shit himself every time. Unless he played Henry, bizarrely.

Very good player in the championship. He will be very useful.

If we'd been quoted 15m for Delph, we would pay 12. We spend so much time bargain hunting that we miss out on players. I doubt we hold much interest in Delph mind, alot of tenuous links knocking about IMO.

We would have Perez, Diame and De Jong all playing for the same position, which would almost certainly rule us out of signing a top quality number 10. It's for this reason why he needs moved on, probably Diame too but he might be useful. Perez is a smart enough player at this level.
