We've effectively only got two central midfielders, three if you include the daywalker. Most manager's these days will want five, especially teams who play 3 central players. I think right now we are just fishing around for deals, we've probably spoke to a dozen clubs/agents about central midfielders.

Villa will get their parachute payments, which will keep them financially safe, even if they can't spend. Aye let's worry about our wingers height. If I have one major criticism of Atsu is that he doesn't run at his full back enough. Hes got all the pace and skill to beat them but seems to lose focus on what he's good at. He often ends up going sideways or cutting in onto his weaker foot. Other than that he's a solid signing. I can't see the need for Gouffran because I think we all agree we need at least one more wide flair player.

To put it into perspective, we will probably get two thirds of that back from Hanleys sale.

Yeah, I doubt Gouffran is staying. Anita might get a new contract.
