There are occasions where clubs decide to keep players purely based on their attitude and character in the dressing room, I think this could be one of those occasions. I don't think Gouffran is good enough for the premiership but he may prove reliable, emergency cover, especially in the early rounds of the cup. We also don't know the ins and outs, if he's desperate to stay and take a pay cut, fair play to the bloke. Not going to knock him for loving the club.
