No. Come on, the guy reckons Guthrie is the future of our midfield. He's prone to exaggeration. Am I really the only one that sees something different in him? His technique is excellent, his vision and range of passing is impressive, and he works hard and reads the game well! Super finish today as well, and can take a decent set-piece. I really see a lot more potential in him than I saw in some of the recent incumbents like Parker and Jenas Guthrie's set pieces have been consistently the most threatening of our entire team since pre-season, yet for some reason he doesn't always take them. He clears the first man which is more than Geremi, N'Zogbia, Duff and anyone else who's had a go can say

Great to see us win a game, especially away from home - and so comfortable in the last 20 minutes for a change. Today wwe saw the benefit of leaving Martins on when the opposition are chasing the game, he was an out ball constantly an even though he didn't get much from those break aways second half, it relieved the pressure. Then of course there was the second goal, after he lashed miles wide and then finished cooly past that idiot James. Guthrie is so useful to have in the middle of the park, earned his goal just for how composed he is on the ball. He's not fantastic or the next Gerrard or anything, but he's very useful to have around. Good to see him get a goal aswell, although that moron James should have saved it. Owen's finish was top drawer, obviously I'd like him to stay but I have no faith in the buffoons making the decisions at the club and as somebody else alluded to, it's quite possible he'll stay with us as there's no better option. A third clean sheet in a row away from home aswell - Bassong and Colo are a decent partnership and they're gettign a run together, something we've lacked in recent times - too much chop and change has undone us. Beye was steady and Enrique was impressive, especially attacking - that was a great ball through for Martins. Defensively he was ok, still got done a few times but something to build on. I still think a club in Spain is monitoring him and nearly had him in August, and Kinnear has said to him he can go if a replacement is found. We'll see I guess. 14th then, and if we can just build on this with a home win next week, then things will look a whole lot brighter. It's all well and good picking up these surprise points but it's our home form that we will live or die by, also I can't stand f***ing Spurs and the thought of them winning up here next week would be grounds to cancel Christmas. Probably.

I don't care if we have Messi up front, if you can't defend a set piece in injury time you won't win the game.

Turns out he lived in Milan and began his career at Atalanta. It depresses me that in 1993 Arsenal's idea of buying good kids for the future included Richard Hughes

Here's my Richard Hughes fact of the night courtesy of Wikipedia He writes a weekly column for the Portsmouth News entitled 'Look Hughes Talking'. He also presents "Richard Hughes' Scouting Report" on local radio station 107.4 The Quay on the Friday Night Pompey Preview programme.

Good strike from Croft, assist from Pattison.

Aye even I can't think of a time we've cheered a player going off. Ey? Eboue's number came up and everyone cheered ironically

Which he fucking missed and seconds later they got one back

Jon Champion: Do you even feel a little bit sorry for Sunderland? Craig Burley: No.

I fucking hate football. I mean really fucking hate it. If Vidic hadn't just scored past those dirty bastard down the road I'd hate it even more. First half was ace, decent play, looked threatening and rarely troubled at the back. 2 goal lead, Owen and Martins being backed up well by N'Zogbia, Jonas and Geremi spraying it round like a man with talent. Half time at Guthrie goes off. Let's play a game. You are Joe Kinnear, what do you do: a) Push Coloccini into Defensive Mid, and bring on Taylor at centre back. b) Bring on Taylor at right back, push your right back to right wing and your right winger to centre midfield. If you picked b - well done, you're a fucking moron too. So on came Ricardo Fuller, who caused us more problems in 20 minutes than there whole team did all afternoon. Exposing Coloccini's inability to turn around quickly, Fuller skipped past him and gave Sidibe a tap in. Uh-oh. Then followed 20 minutes of us sitting on our 18 yard line and inviting Stoke onto us, playing on the break with little success and generally being shite. Martins went off and on came Viduka - Viduka didn't do much wrong and we needed somebody to hold the ball up. Martins was our out ball and unlike last week when we needed a goal, this week we needed possession and a reason to make Stoke worry. 5 minutes went up for some reason, fuck knows why. Enrique "gave" away a free kick, not entirely sure he did anything wrong but that's besides the point. Failed to defend it and fucking Faye pops up and may aswell have celebrated it by unfurling a "fuck you Kevin Keegan" flag. Was Bramble all over again and I'm fucking sick of it. There was still time for some "mild" pressing from us, Cacapa (on for Geremi, for some reason) trying to spread the play out to Zog and Riley timing his interception perfectly. So another 2 points dropped against a shit team and their main threat couldn't even get his long throw going. I fucking hate football.

When he had his hair, yes. Once he shaved it down to his ginger core, it was all downhill
-
Seriously, whenever I think about this guy making his debut I crease up laughing. The reaction on here is gonig to be ridiculous
-
Better than the real Nicko at any rate
-
Hangeland's errors very nearly got Fulham relegated iirc, at home to the mackems I seem to remember him being Bramble-esque
-
It's not as if they even recoup much money either, who did they last sell for any value of note?
-
How's Peter Reid doing at Thailand?
-
Be funny if he stormed out and tried to get in his car to drive away and it wouldn't start because of the weather and he just sat there fuming, staring straight ahead as always
-
Bet he wishes he hadn't bothered beating us for the first time in 29 years now, what gratitude
-
Our caretaker manager had us lose 6-0 at old Trafford. Beat that Raimond van der Gouw/guy with weird name Ricky someone or other
-
Won't even be on the radar

Last thing we need is "must win" games in hand
