  1. Supporting Real in the final Fuckkkkkkkkkkkk. Bayern have to win tomorrow.
  2. Dear me. I know. It's fucking laughable. Yeah, let's just forget about the two goals that he actually scored in the two CL finals that he's played in and won, and use one penalty miss to judge him forever.
  3. barce have done that all season. early season it was very apparent away from home and more recently it's taken them longer to break teams down at home. as teams have defended deeper they haven't evolved to beat it. You don't need to do much evolving when you've won 2 of the last 3 CLs, of course. This Barca team will be back. It just goes to show that crazy things can and do happen in football. In another tie, Messi's shot hits the post and goes in and no one remembers anything. In another tie, Fabregas - the 30m man - doesn't have a shitter in the first leg and Barca come home with the lead and chill out.
  4. That was fucking fantastic (from a neutral standpoint, even though I wasn't).
  5. That was fucking unbelievable. That's why football is amazing.
  6. You are such a bitter tool. Did Ronaldo not a miss a pen in the CL semi against Barca at the Camp Nou or were your eyes just shut then?

    Alan Pardew

It's no surprise that our best form has coincided with Ben Arfa starting. Whether you believe that it's Pardew's masterplan to unleash him at this stage, or Ben Arfa naturally recovering his previous strength and pace after the leg break is something that we can't ever know. Whether you believe Pardew got it right in benching him earlier is also something that you can't prove. People say now that Ben Arfa is working harder, that he gets it. That may or may not be because Pardew kept him on the bench for so long. It may simply be him feeling better after his pace had returned, so he wasn't as frustrated as before. And maybe that would have happened sooner had he been played earlier this season? I don't really give a fuck, either way. Pardew's done a great job but he's fucked up sometimes too, as any other good manager has (look at how much pressure Guardiola is under now). That's probably the most rounded view and one which the majority of people agree with, IMO.
  8. We have to count on a Liverpool win again? How many times has that been this season? Seriously, how many times is it? I know the Everton semi was a biggie, but what else? We needed you to win the League Cup too. Because our collecting EL spots guaranteed you a place in Europe? Because otherwise you would have taken the spot for the FA Cup winners/runners up. You took the League Cup one, which means that the FA Cup one now drops to league since both you and Chelsea are qualified for Europe, thus confirming our place in Europe too. If you had lost to Cardiff then 6th wouldn't get into Europe so we'd still be fighting it out with Chelsea and Spurs.
  9. His goals kept us up. He wasn't a 10m striker in the traditional sense but he was worth that to us and we got good money when we sold him.
  10. I'm getting nervous now. Before beating Stoke, I was chilled and excited, looking forward to the end of the season. Now I'm just nervous about the last four matches. If we fucking give it away on the final day, God, that's going to haunt me for years.
  11. I've been on there a few times and it seems that most of toontastic really want rid of him.
  12. Why didn't ref blow and stop the game? He did it earlier when Evans fell?
  13. I hope you're just trolling Neil with that comment.
  14. He needs a better song.
  15. No. You want Arsenal to lose because if we win, we'll be two points behind them with a game in hand. 3rd would be on.
  16. Ferguson on refereeing decisions and diving: "We didn't get one against Wigan during the week. We didn't scream from the rooftops about it. It happens," he said. "We got one given against us for Newcastle - we didn't scream about that either. "You get bad decisions and good ones. Believe me, it does even itself out." Are you fucking kiddin me? Someone tell me I'm not making up the fact that he said something like the linesman should be sacked? What a hypocritical cunt.
  17. We have the infrastructure to act like a big club. I'm glad our finances look much better now. If we can consistently get into Europe then that'll improve matchday revenue and open up commercial opportunities, enabling us to compete with Spurs and Liverpool financially. We have the advantage of SJP, a stadium whose size is only dwarfed by Old Trafford and the Emirates. Because of this, we should eventually be able to compete with every team in the league but those two, crazy Arab owners notwithstanding. That means that if we continue down this path, we should be perennial contenders for a CL spot, and we should have more room financially to push on. The future is looking very bright. And I say we should be contenders for a CL spot because only two teams can consistently lose money - Chelsea and Man City. Every other team has to break even eventually, which means that the extra revenue that SJP brings us can be used to outmuscle other teams. In the end, we'll be acting like the big boys, except we'll be smart and not reckless like we were before.
