He was a quality player and along with Bellamy, epitomized our team under SBR; fast, exciting, gung-ho but failed to fulfill the world class potential that he and the team had. At one point he was worth 20m+, and that was before the fees became super-inflated. When Bellamy's hamstring went away to Villa was when our title challenge ended, but he and Dyer were fun as hell to watch, and for all their flaws, I'll always remember SBR's team fondly. The second goal at home to Leeds when Bellamy chested it down for him to smash home is a memory that sticks out, as does the winner against Feyenoord. Typical Dyer, that. Excellent touch, created space, could have smashed it, didn't, side footed it weakly but luckily Bellamy was there. Our first against Leeds in that 4-3 was also Dyer at his best, and it was typical that when we were at our best, him and Bellamy were at their best.

No chance. Anyone who's seen him play knows that he's a top 'keeper who would have eventually signed for Barca or Real if he stayed in Spain.

De Gea is a fantastic 'keeper but it's different playing for a team like Man Utd where you don't get a lot of action. Maybe he's struggling with the concentration since he's idle for such long periods. He'll adjust, though. The guy looks like such a natural 'keeper.

Because players don't like other players trying to cheat. It's the height of unsportsmanship. I've seen many players react to other players diving but I haven't seen an overreaction like in all my time of watching football. No one has literally hauled up the other player and manhandled him.

Cabaye has had some nice touches. He hasn't misplaced a pass, iirc. And he looks like he's got some pace as well. He's not lightning quick, but he gets up to full speed pretty fast. He's playing too deep, though, and it seems like him and Tiote aren't on the same wavelength yet (no surprises there, thanks to our shitshow of a preseason). I like him and I think he'll show his quality when we have a team of runners around him, not the-most-immobile-striker-in-the-Premiership aka Mr Ameobi.

Yeah, Arsenal have been below par, which is the only reason this game is 0-0. We've been below par as well, but it looks like we're that way for a good reason (shit tactics and shit players), whereas they have had moments where their quality came through.
